Sound of Brazil is a total vibe—awesome daisy music, great DJ, and perfect for dancing! Only suggestion: security at the entrance could be a tad friendlier to make the experience even better. Still, had a blast Saturday night!

I was pleasantly surprised when coming for the sing along the music and vibe was fun, we sat down and ordered a large pitcher of rum punch. However, i feel like a a fast one was pulled, especially when it came to business practices. When I processed my tab on the wireless tap machine, $102 was not the total presented to me. The price presented was the $85 with some tax. I also did not understand why a 18% auto gratuity was applied to a party of 3 and we only had a pitcher brought to our table and poured our own drinks. When i saw that apple wallet told me that I approved a $102 purchase I was confused especially when I saw the $85 price tag on the menu. I was also confused because I had tipped the waiter additionally in cash- at no point in time did the server let me know that 18% was already put on the tab. And from the photos I am presenting of the menu- no where does it state that there is an auto gratuity. So I tipped $20 total to have a pitcher delivered to the table which was steps away from the bar. My other issue is I was getting the run around when I was looking to get a receipt (so I could better understand why the cost went from $85- $102 for this rum punch). I had to ask 4 different people to get a receipt. Even when I asked the manager for a receipt he pointed me to go to the waiter and then the waiter and I had to walk back to the manager to get it. I'm not too sure of the intentions of this place but it felt really odd that no one could outline the costs let alone show me what I paid for. Then I was being told that there was a 3% charge because I used apple wallet- that's new to me. Highly recommend for vibes, but get a print out of your receipt immediately after you pay and make sure you understand what you are being charged for. I would not have ordered a $100 pitcher, especially when it was a lot of ice and juice. You can buy a big handle of rum for $50-$70... đź‘€

Went on a Sunday night for Felicia Allen’s single release, My Apology (buy it on iTunes!) They had a gospel choir in the club & other singers too. Nice space & right on the 1 train line.

Honestly, in the past I’ve had a good time. This past week I went to see a friend play at 8pm and it was such a vibe. SOB’s still got it!

Always heard of this place but never been. Went to see one of my fav artists and was happy. However, it's much smaller than I thought. The bathroom is very small as well. Didn't have any drinks so I can speak on taste and pricing. But overall I had an amazing time.

These points reflect the challenges inherent in managing a popular, event-driven venue with fluctuating crowds and high energy. For groups, this means it's wise to remain flexible and focus on the overall experience of music and dancing, which remains the strongest draw. Many guests still leave with fond memories thanks to the venue’s lively spirit and cultural authenticity.
