1st time eating at this restaurant. My wife and I have been wanting to try it for awhile. The food was worth it. The workers could have been a bit more nice. I feel as if they treated others that did not look like us a bit better with a smile and when we requested something... it was may with a little irritation. They need to work on the customer service being a positive experience to all. The bathroom did not have tissue to wipe after usage nor to dry your hands with. They should check it periodically to ensure it is equipped better.

It's the best sandwich shops ever, I have traveled to a few of their places and if they have one of their shops, I always get a sandwich, it's the bread and sauce house spread that really makes the sandwich 🤤, in addition to the pickle 🥒 they serve and don't forget to get a small bowl of their clam chowder 🙏

The quality of the ingredients is very poor— the carrots are bad and the bread fresh.

I ordered a sourdough bowl with chili. The food came out in less then 3 minutes and it was at a good temperature. The chili was full of flavor and excellent. The sourdough bread had a crunchy outside and a soft inside, making it easier then eat then most breadbowls. There is also a good variety of drinks, even having good tea options. There are limited vegetarian and vegan options, but I haven’t explored that part yet. Overall, a good place to eat when you are at Berkeley.

I put 30 minutes on the parking meter, figured that would be plenty of time to order and eat one sandwich. It was only just ready by the time my meter was out. They smothered it in horseradish, even if it had been mayonnaise it would have been too much sauce, let alone something so potent. I had to ditch all the lettuce etc since it was DRENCHED and completely inedible. I’m a masochist with spice but not THAT much. I also think it’s ridiculous that tip suggestion starts at 15% when you order from a kiosk. Overall just a really bad experience. I will admit that the sourdough bread was pretty good
