On Tuesday, I go to the South Berkeley Farmers Market. I can't stay inside all the time, and this way I get some air and get some delicous food. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in quality. It's supposedly the oldest market in Berkeley. It's open from just 2:00 to 6:30 pm, and I hear it's a madhouse in the afternoon. I go after work (around 5:15ish), and it's much calmer then--though they sometimes sell out. The other week, I went home without any strawberries or avocados. But this week I scored some of both--and, boy, are they just YUM! One of the avocados I bought on Tuesday was ready, and when I cut it open, I was in awe at its pristine beauty. It was just what an avocado should be! And the strawberries I got are some of the best I've ever had. I'll be back next Tuesday, and it's good to have something to anticipate!
