Had an amazing kiteboarding lesson in Miami with Melissa and the team at South Florida Kiteboarding this week! Melissa had great communication leading up to the session, keeping me posted on wind conditions and logistics which I appreciated. As a woman-owned kite school, they created such a supportive, welcoming vibe and it felt like training with friends…. let’s just attribute it the magical womanly touch! In terms of the lessons themselves, I loved getting straight into the shallow water (vs. sand lessons I’ve had before) and actually starting to ride the board. Plus, the views of Key Biscayne and the Miami skyline were unreal. I was able to do 2 lessons in a week and they even connected me to kite schools in other travel spots. Already counting down to my return!

This is hands down the best run sporting exercising in south Florida. The instructors are great and thoroughly, the coordinator Mel is reliable and keeps to her word. The company maintains and tracks the credit for any packages you may have purchased. I have taken almost ten lessons with this company over the last 3 years and they honored credits from a package over a year ago. The event is more than just a kite surfing lesson. You get to go on a boat, you go to Stiltsville or wherever the wind is best and the area safest. You also get snacks and an adult beverage for the ride back. The total time is about 4 hours. They monitor the wind and try to only go out when there is enough wind to learn. Any questions just DM me. I am happy to help. Also, there is a restaurant right by the dock you leave from. So you can grab a bite after or before.
