I thought the website stated girls basketball league when I signed my daughter up but it’s more like camp. I expected them to form a team. 2 girls and the rest boys. I would’ve put my money somewhere else.

As a mother of two kids with disabilities I thought the pool would be a nice addition to their day. My son with autism is high energy. I would go to ymca at least once a week. Last time I went, there was a female lifeguard doing a private lesson AT THE KIDDIE AREA on a Saturday knowing it’s a busy day and there will be lots of kids around. She brings a bucket full of bubble wands then gets upset when my son comes around when he sees the bubbles. If YOU DONT WANT KIDS AROUND THEN DONT GO TO KIDDIE AREA ESPECIALLY WITH BUCKET OF BUBBLES. it really ticked me off seeing her face honestly. So unprofessional as a lifeguard I wish I knew her name. Next, the ladies that go with the kids are a hit and miss. Some of them are very kind, probably only twice have I met a kind lady all the other times they are stuck up with a face like they have something shoved up their butt. I have been very nice and I’m at the point where I’m done being the nice woman. This ymca has proved to me that although it’s nice looking, the people AND lifeguards are just rude Try me next time

I just became a member recently and from my 3 day experience, half of the staff members are just completely rude, unwelcoming, and uninviting. I wasn't given a tour of anything and felt like an outcast for not knowing anything.

I attended a recent drive-thru food drive and was incredibly disappointed with how poorly organized the entire event was. There was absolutely no one directing traffic, which led to complete chaos. Many of us had been waiting in line for hours, only to have other vehicles cut in front of us with no accountability or system in place to prevent it. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing people bypass the line entirely by walking up and leaving with three or four boxes, while the rest of us sat and waited, unsure of what was going on. It felt incredibly unfair and disheartening, especially for those of us who showed up early and followed the rules. This event desperately needed better coordination, clear signage, and volunteers managing both traffic and distribution. It’s not just about giving out food—it’s about making sure the process is fair and respectful to everyone in need. Sadly, this experience left me feeling more upset and stressed than supported.

I really enjoyed the music, the vendors were friendly and knowledgeable about there products. I even got to network with many of the women entrepreneurs and farmers. The DJ played a great variety of music too. It was hot but it felt good supporting my community of black farmers and entrepreneurs.
