New to Dallas! I found this gem! Haven't skated in 10 years. Adult Night had a wonderful atmosphere and very clean. Definitely recommend.

Thursday night adult skate was ok. About 40 skaters at max, concession closed, No adult rollerblades however the skates were new. DJ was fairly descent in music selection. Not really "Go hard or Go Home" type. Just enough to keep the few skaters on the floor. Overall could be a good practice session or just get out the house. But don't expect a Skate Party ...just a regular ole Thursday practice session.

DJ IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ON ADULT NIGHT!!! He does not know how to actually MIX music…he will will literally go from super fast music to super slow music. The BPM absolutely do not match. This rink hires anybody willing to call themselves a DJ. I’ve been going here for months and it has been terrible. The. City should really look into hiring people that are passionate about their job not just trying to make a quick buck. DJing isn’t about just playing music especially when it comes to an actually community that comes together every week to skate. We need a DJ that actually understand this community and knows what they’re doing. A lot of us have been coming here for YEARS and the quality of DJs has quickly declined. If you don’t believe me ask for a spreadsheet of the numbers if the people in attendance it has also declined SIGNIFICANTLY

My daughter and I visited Dallas from California recently and we visited Southern States on a Thursday, their adult skate night. The people there were the best and the music BUMPING. Although I didn't have alot of experience skating, the locals made me feel welcomed and supported. The skating talent and love in that place was AMAZING. Great rink! Mr. Daniels is a pleasure to be around and you can see the passion he has for teaching skating. He teaches the proper way! Also the facility is very clean. The whole place was mopped corner to corner. Smelling good. He takes pride in the appearance and cleanliness of the building. The front assistant was very nice, thoughtful, and giving. The music could be a little quieter and more geared toward old school black music instead of pop. The sound set up the Dj had could use some balancing but other than that, the experience was great. Will definitely be there again soon and bringing my Mom the next time.
