Our multigenerational family chose to celebrate a birthday at South Park Seafood this evening and the meal was simply marvelous. There was something for everyone, even our picky 10 year old who ordered a plain burger and fries off the secret kids menu per our servers suggestion. The clam chowder is the best I've ever had in my life, the service was well paced and the 3-5pm daily happy hour offers 15% off. We've been in multiple times and have always left happy, we'll continue to frequent for special celebrations and when guests are in town.

Gotta say - this place is a gem. Toss up as to what’s better: the food or the service. Incredible service / friendly, knowledgeable, personable and candid. Q is the shrimp and grits super spicy? A it’s like medium-hot Thai food and catches a lot of customers by surprise. Ordered the brussel sprouts and devoured them. Even our college aged kid loved them. Shrimp cocktail was pure perfection. Focaccia was airy, bouncy and with the ideal amount of sea salt to finish. Cioppino was great. Fish and chips were tasty. Clam chowder was packed full of seafood. Baked oysters were heavenly and well seasoned. This is a great place in downtown Portland. Highly recommend.

We came here after a LONG day of wine tasting in williamette valley. The chowder is very good and comes with gnocchi and good clams. For dinner I had the clam pasta and it was also very good. We started with oyster shooters which are always fun. Staff was very kind and we were able to sit quickly without a reservation.

Food: Tried the oysters, chowder and the strugeon piccatta. The oysters were fresh and delicious and the chowder had clams in the shell which were new. But the shell clams did make the chowder slightly gritty. The piccatta had the fish cooked beautifully but unfortunately there was an overwhelming taste and feel of butter and nothing else. Ambiance: Great service however the place lacks a cozy ambiance to it. The lights were too bright, seats not too comfortable and we also noticed flies around our table as we were trying to enjoy the meal. They also charge a 2.5% surcharge for credit card payments which you should look out for. Value for money: 3/5
