Come see first-hand in Newport, Rhode Island, the 22,000 sq ft work of art designed and built by Spohn Ranch. The crew that built our park were absolute artisans. It's the most used public facility in our state. My advice to all is build it BIG and build it with SPOHN.

We are a small town in central Illinois. Our park was built in memory of a late alderman , Ed Day, with funds raised through the community. Spohn Ranch designed and built this park knowing the limited budget and they delivered. The design, while somewhat small offers something for everyone, from the beginners to the advanced. It has downstate Illinois' only concrete pump track, plenty of street features and bowl and vertical sections as well. The quality of the work is excellent, concrete is smooth, fast and built to last. I'd say we got our moneys worth and more.

We highly recommend them and look forward to working with them on future projects.

Many of the skateparks I enjoy using in Southern California, are built by Spohn Ranch. They have their finger on the pulse of skater's needs, hire skaters to design and build their parks. Spohn excels in thoughtfulness when designing spaces that are accessible to riders of all levels. They have achieved a good balance in listening to riders needs, while working well with municipalities, limited budgets and red tape to deliver quality parks that the entire community can be proud of.

It is with much enthusiasm that I recommend Spohn Ranch Skateparks for both design and build to anyone considering such a project. Our 15,000+ square foot skatepark officially opened in August and we couldn’t be more proud to have partnered with Spohn Ranch. We completed a competitive bid process and checked both official and unofficial references for the bidding vendors. Spohn Ranch impressed us from the start because they listened to our needs and wants, provided professional expertise to guide us in the correct direction, and most importantly they incorporated custom elements from our community. Spohn Ranch made an impact from the beginning when they hosted a Design Session to hear what the youth of our community wanted in a skatepark. They took the feedback from that session and came up with a design. From there, they met with select members of the community who were able to fine tune the design which had to appeal to all wheels—skaters, BMX bikers, scooters, in-line skaters, or wheel chairs. The design also had to accommodate all levels of ability from beginner to advanced. Now that we have been open for several months, it is clear from the feedback we receive, that Spohn Ranch knocked this design out of the park! We were able to honor the man who donated the land decades ago, a Newark native who owned a bottle company, with a full pipe in the shape and likeness of a glass bottle. It is the details in this park design that make it one of the best! Vince Onel, our project designer and Aaron Spohn, President and Founder both invested their expertise in the concept and design development. They are both extremely creative and passionate about their work. Over the course of the project we had a relatively big construction crew. They were committed to creating an excellent project. Every member of the team engaged with our community, from our foundation Board Chair to the youth who watched construction daily, very well. Our dedication event was a success and we were proud to recognize and thank Spohn Ranch for bringing this dream to reality. The youth of our community could not be more excited for what they have “in their back yard.” We are constantly amazed at the stories we hear of how far people travel to experience the Newark, OH Skatepark. We are confident when we say that this park is a success because we started with the right design and build company! We are truly grateful to Spohn Ranch for their knowledge, professionalism, passion, and expertise in skateparks.
