5-Star Review for De’ja at Staples – Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC As a small business owner based in Atlanta, I rely on great partners to help me meet tight deadlines — even when I’m away from home. Recently, I had an urgent, last-minute project while in Raleigh, NC, and I was fortunate enough to be helped by De’ja at the Staples on 3064 Wake Forest Road. De’ja went above and beyond in every possible way. Not only did she handle my request with patience, care, and professionalism, but she even stayed after her shift ended to make sure my project was completed perfectly and on time. The store is quick to get in and out of if your order is already completed. The print ship was great when used and the online order was ready when I arrived. The only snag was the store did not enter the order was ready so I could be notified and the store cashier was a bit rude to everyone in line. Maybe it was a bad day. Despite that, the order was correct, complete and very convenient.

I was in this store on 06/23/25 at 6:50 pm to make a return to Amazon, I asked for help since the people who were there for the customers did not react when they saw that someone was waiting for attention, so the person I asked reacted and said that the area was closed, but they had a sign informing that the closing time was at 7 pm, so I replied that there were still 10 minutes until closing and I just wanted to return two packages to Amazon, the person at that moment reacted abruptly by throwing an object he had in his hand to the side and went to the counter to assist me, so I apologized to him for interrupting him and he shook his head to show that everything was fine. Then when I handed him the first box he reacted by pointing to a box he had on his counter and said that I should go somewhere else to make the return from Amazon since they didn’t provide larger boxes and the items I wanted to return wouldn’t fit in the one they had, so I insisted that he try another way that I could see that it would fit but that the item was still well protected and in the same boxes that Amazon delivered it to me so no other packaging was necessary and it was then that he reacted rudely yelling loudly “NO” I asked him if something was wrong with him? Why was he reacting and yelling that way and he interrupted me telling me that if I wanted to return the other item I should give it to him right then, otherwise he wouldn’t take it later, he grabbed it and threw it, literally, into the box, I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me that he was the store manager and his name was Mark Raynor. I called Amazon to report what happened after leaving the store, very upset by the person's rude attitude. I didn't understand how someone with such a lack of education and dedication to customer service could be in charge of a store like that. I also confirmed that he hadn't scanned one of the packages, so Amazon wouldn't process my refund. I took the time to share my experience, hoping that people and companies will take steps to improve customer service at this store, and that Amazon will ensure that the merchandise arrives in good condition at its destination.

Why is Staples a convenient location for organizing and meeting up? Convenience is one of the strongest reasons to choose Staples for your group meetup. First, Staples has numerous locations across the United States, spanning from large urban areas like New York and Dallas to smaller cities such as Apopka, Florida, or Streetsboro, Ohio. This widespread presence makes it likely that your group can find a nearby Staples, reducing travel time and increasing accessibility for all members. The stores generally maintain long opening hours, accommodating after-school or after-work meetups. Since Staples combines retail, tech services, and office solutions under one roof, your group can accomplish multiple goals in a single trip—pick up event essentials, print materials, recharge devices, and test new equipment—all in a single visit. The presence of helpful staff further enhances your experience, as team members are often ready to assist with product advice or technical support, smoothing your group’s planning process. Moreover, many Staples locations are situated in shopping plazas or near eateries, which means your meetup can easily continue with food or coffee afterward.
How does Staples support productive group activities and collaboration? Staples is fundamentally designed to foster productivity, making it an excellent venue for groups seeking to collaborate on projects or plan events. The store’s array of office supplies—everything from notebooks and pens to high-end binders and organizational tools—empowers groups to prepare detailed plans and keep track of ideas. Staples’ printing and copying services allow you to quickly produce professional-looking materials for workshops, meetings, or community events. Technology resources, including laptops, tablets, smartboards, and printers, offer hands-on opportunities for the group to experiment and innovate, which is especially helpful for study groups, startup teams, or hobbyists. Also, many Staples stores provide services such as binding and laminating, enabling your group to create durable and polished presentation materials. By combining physical supplies with tech solutions and services, Staples encourages groups to move beyond just talking—they can actually craft, print, and implement their ideas on-site, fueling effective collaboration and creative output.
Why is Staples suitable for diverse groups and different occasion types? One of Staples’ major strengths is its flexibility—it serves a wide range of customer needs, which translates well into hosting diverse groups for a variety of occasions. Whether your meetup is school-related, work-oriented, hobby-driven, or social, Staples can adapt to the occasion. Student groups can study, print projects, or buy school supplies. Entrepreneurs or freelancers can plan business ventures, network, and test products. Hobbyists and crafting groups find the arts and crafts supplies helpful for their shared interests. Even family meetups can benefit by grabbing last-minute party supplies and refreshments, making Staples a versatile stop. The retail environment appeals to a wide age range, making it inclusive for different generations. Staples also accommodates those with specific needs, offering accessible entrances and often wheelchair-friendly layouts. This inclusivity, paired with the store’s broad inventory and service spectrum, positions Staples as a convenient and accommodating hub for almost any group occasion.
How do shoppers rate Staples as a meetup and shopping destination? With a rating of 3.9 out of 5 based on over 170 reviews, Staples holds a generally positive reputation. Customers appreciate Staples for its broad product selection and practical services like printing, tech support, and office supplies. Some critiques touch on stock availability or wait times during busy periods, but overall, Staples is trusted as a reliable and functional location for both shopping and managing tasks as a group. The consistent service quality and widespread presence underpin its role as a dependable meetup spot for those needing to mix practical errands with social gatherings. Therefore, while it may not be a traditional social venue, Staples still scores well for groups needing a functional, resource-rich environment to work, create, and connect.
What makes Staples a better group meetup spot compared to other retail stores? Staples stands out from many other retail stores because it combines product retailing with services that support group productivity and creativity. Unlike electronics stores or supermarkets, Staples offers printing, copying, and binding services that cater directly to project-driven groups. Its office and technology focus equips visitors with practical tools that spur innovation and organization within meetups. The store atmosphere encourages planning and productivity, which is ideal for groups wanting to work together, not just shop. Additionally, Staples’ frequent promotions and loyalty programs can help groups save on bulk purchases, making it budget-friendly. Its geographic spread, complemented by a manageable store size and clear layout, helps groups navigate efficiently without feeling overwhelmed. In contrast, other big-box stores may lack the specialized services and atmosphere that foster teamwork and creativity in a similar way, giving Staples a unique edge as both a meetup and business resource location.
How can Staples enhance social experiences during group meetups? Besides offering a practical venue, Staples can unexpectedly enhance social experiences by providing a focus for shared goals and activities. Engaging in collaborative tasks like designing event materials or creating DIY crafts can deepen friendships and encourage teamwork. Browsing together through creative supplies sparks conversation and ideas, turning a shopping trip into an interactive event. The availability of tech stations and quick services reduces downtime, keeping groups engaged and productive. Plus, some locations host workshops and demonstrations which group members can attend together to learn new skills or explore trends. This blend of utility and interaction ensures the Staples meetup is not just functional but also memorable, combining the joy of accomplishing tasks with social bonding and shared discovery.
What additional conveniences does Staples offer for a well-rounded group meetup? Beyond products and services, Staples often partners with third-party vendors or nearby businesses to enhance the overall meetup experience. For example, some Staples stores provide specialized customization services like personalized printing or engraving for gifts and event favors. Many are located close to coffee shops, eateries, and public transportation access points, enabling groups to extend their gathering seamlessly. Staples’ online ordering with in-store pickup option can also streamline the group’s shopping process, allowing members to pre-select items and quickly collect them together. Furthermore, Staples’ commitment to technology and customer service means groups can depend on assistance for troubleshooting, setting up devices, or exploring new product features on-site. These conveniences collectively create a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable environment ideal for diverse group needs, adding significant value to your meetup at Staples.
