Popped in before vacation and had no wait! Got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I wanted to use the same shade on toes and nails and they helped me pick one that fit my Hawai’i theme that they had the extract kind in both types of polish. Despite having super short nails, they were able to do the little palm tree design! So cute!!

Bizarrely mediocre experience. They didn’t remove all of my old polish despite pointing it out repeatedly and didn’t shape my nails at all. They didn’t let the polish dry between coats. I tried multiple colors without being able to get a simple work-appropriate pink. They didn’t let polish dry between coats. The owner told me that it doesn’t matter because their polish wears off in 1-2 days anyway (?!? Probably because they don’t properly prep the nails or dry the polish?) None of this has happened to me elsewhere! Will not be back.

Only place I’d recommend in Boulder! I don’t normally leave reviews but Star Nails has some of the best employees and best service I’ve experienced. My nail tech did my acrylic set in under an hour while taking phone calls and scheduling appointments. Always impressed by the staff’s ability to multitask while maintaining 100% focus on the client. I came in with a photo and my tech exactly replicated the design I wanted while pausing and genuinely asking if the colors, placement, and design were okay for me. Literally the quickest set of acrylics I’ve gotten, even with the complex design! 10/10!!!!!

Generally speaking, Star Nails is my favorite nail lounge in town. Infact I have not found a lounge in my new town as good. But this last time, I had an immediate chip on a middle nail and two nails completely popped off after 3 days. Full duo popping off tells me that my dipped nails did not set right, it happens from time to time. At previous salons/lounges if this happened, my entire nail set would be removed and properly redone no questions asked. This was not offered to me. I drove 90 minutes out of my way for a dip manicure and the. Again for them to repair three nails. When the nails began popping off I sent an email immediately but did not ever receive a response. When I called the day I planned to drive up, they told me they were too busy for me. I did not accept that response and told them I'd sit and wait. Once I arrived I did not have to wait too long, the technician was very busy, so I appreciated that she got me in to fix them. But I felt like an inconvenience for their mishap. 3 days later after the repair of the three nails and the dip on yet another nail has popped off. What gives!?! They do beautiful work, the technicians are friendly, and this is the first time this has happened and I'm disappointed. Be sure to advocate better for yourself than I did. I have received many compliments on my nails when they're intact, but I am disappointed overall for the price I paid
