Really neat theater! The sign outside is one of the best parts. It looks really cool at night, and the building has a lot of history.

Came here with my husband during the ATX TV Festival to attend The Gilded Age panel, and had another wonderful experience! We had previously been here for the Vivian Tu event, which was also great—this venue continues to impress. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the space is clean, well-organized, and never feels chaotic, even during big events. The bathrooms were spotless, which is always appreciated when attending longer programs. It’s a great theater for panels, talks, and community events. We’ll definitely be back again for future happenings!

Went to see Trailer Tales with a friend. Another friend met up with us and went to the box office to purchase a ticket. The dude told her that it was “packed to the gills” sold out. Understandable. So unfortunately our other friend wasn’t able to join us. However the theater had rows and rows of empty seats throughout the entire show. I find it hard to believe that many people just didn’t show up. Other than that, everything was great. The seats are comfortable. Air conditioning was indeed conditioning. Bathrooms are clean. But most of all Tammy was AWESOME. We are already looking forward to another comedy show.. only we will make sure everyone gets their tickets ahead of time.

April 2024 The Stateside is the smaller theatre of the Paramount showcasing small productions in a theatre resembling an old fashioned single movie cinema house. Even with its smaller size it still fits a lot of people and great view of the stage. There are single gender neutral restrooms and a small bar in the lobby. It has stadium seating and cushy chairs. The place has character but not as extravagant as the Paramount Theatre. I was here for the ATX TV Festival Season 13 for the Interview with the Vampire: Season 2 Screening and Hacks: Season 3 Finale Screening. The sound was not the best but fine with me. This venue requires a clear bag and no drinks or food allowed inside. Parking can be found in the nearby parking garages or valet your vehicle next door either at the Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin or Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel.
