That level of care really stood out to me — and it didn’t stop there. When I arrived at the restaurant, our server Perry already knew I had called and greeted me with the same attentiveness. He asked how he could better serve me, which made the experience feel incredibly personal and thoughtful. Perry was an amazing server — friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He knew every dish inside and out, which made ordering both easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere at Stock & Barrel is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience. The service was outstanding, and the food was just as impressive. We ordered the special cod, and it was a true standout — so fresh and flavorful, it tasted like it had just come out of the ocean. In fact, the last time I enjoyed fish like that was back home in Brooklyn, New York. Truly a Dallas staple and our literal go to place for elevated cuisine. The neighborhood spot that Bishop Arts needs and deserves. This last visit really took the cake with the whipped feta appetizer, grilled romaine salad, chicken thigh feature, and crab fried spaghetti!!! Every plate was incredible and truly inspirational. Thank you, Chef Jon, for stopping tableside, to say hi, and absolutely kudos to you and the team! Shawna was also great behind the bar.

I have to admit, I’ve been totally gatekeeping Stock & Barrel. My family comes here all the time and I was honestly shocked to realize I’d never written a review. So, I’m finally setting the record straight and letting everyone in on my favorite spot in Bishop Arts. The food here is absolutely incredible. Chef Jon Stevens (who recently got a Michelin rating, by the way) is a culinary wizard, a master of the craft. One of the coolest things is how he’s always changing things up on this European-style chalkboard menu. You never know what you’ll see—sometimes it’s foie gras, sometimes it’s crab cakes, steaks, or whatever inspires him that day. It keeps things fun and interesting. Last night, my family went all out and had a feast. My dad got the ribeye, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. I had the Korean fried chicken, and I swear it might be my favorite dish in Dallas. The rice has this perfect crisp to it and the chicken is double-fried, super flavorful, and comes with this sauce that’s just unreal. My mom had the salmon, cooked exactly right. We started off with the tuna tacos, which were super fresh, light, and honestly the perfect way to kick things off. The cocktails are great too! Nash, the manager, has this place running like a Swiss clock. The service is always smooth, the plating is beautiful, and somehow they make family dinner feel like home. I added a few photos from our meal but honestly, the food tastes even better than it looks. If you haven’t been to Stock & Barrel, you’re missing out. It’s easily one of the best restaurants in Dallas.

Excellent choice for when in Dallas… for a business meeting or with friends. Meals were cooked to perfection, very flavorful. Perhaps one of the best burgers, cooked medium rare, please note that I have visited Guy Fieri’s spot at Foxwoods Casino, so my bar is high, when I say this burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. Appetizers during Happy Hour, become half price and allow you to taste more of what this gem has to offer. Hanger steak was also very good. I was surprised to see that the restaurant was not very crowded, but very busy for a Tuesday. If in town, definitely consider this gem.
