Sugar Mamas made the deserts for our wedding and we honestly could not have been happier. No one else I spoke to was able to make the cake we envisioned but when we brought the idea to Sugar Mamas they made it no problem. It along with the vegan chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes, and toffee cookies were/are the best deserts we’ve had. So much so that the cookies have become a staple in my household. The employees were/are always kind and welcoming. The communication before and on our wedding day was on point and the end result was better than we could have even dreamed of. We highly recommend Sugar Mommas for events or even just as a delicious treat should you find yourself in ATX.

My absolute favorite is their red velvet cupcake, charmingly named Angelina. It was just as delicious as I recall, with a perfect balance of moist cake and creamy frosting. The atmosphere is cozy, but mostly a quick pickup kinda vibe, making it a good spot for a drop-in for sweet treats. The service was okay, but the 🌟 of the visit was definitely the cupcakes. If you're in Austin and have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend stopping by Sugar Mama's for cupcakes. It's a nostalgic favorite that never disappoints!

We contracted with Sugar Mama's to provide a dessert table at our wedding. The desserts were delicious. Communication was awful. We managed to get an initial contract signed, but there was no follow up and it never felt like anyone was familiar with us or our event. It was impossible to get ahold of someone directly. Dawn had us communicate through a portal, but rarely responded. Dawn left and our point person became Jen, but she was never available or responsive to email. When someone did respond to us, it was starting at zero every time - no familiarity with our contract or clear next steps. For example, when we tried to set up a tasting, different staff sent us information about cake flavors and design several times, despite our signed contract being for a dessert table. We could not get ahold of any manager despite multiple calls, messages, and going in person more than once. Staff in the store could not assist at all and Jen was unavailable. Presentation was awful. We followed up multiple times to inquire about displays. Sugar Mama's offered rustic, modern, or classic. They did not show any pictures or images of what the actual displays looked like. We chose rustic, but the desserts arrived on plain, flat paper plates without any difference in size or height. (We personally brought the bamboo steamer in the photos).
