Purchased some items and paid for delivery. We live in San Francisco in a highly-trafficked part of town. The courier left the package on the steps of our house and left without knocking(we were home anticipating delivery). Needless to say, the package was no longer there when we checked. Sadly, customer service was no help; basically a shoulder shrug and a recommendation to look out of the window next time. Won't be buying anything from this company again. Amazon's couriers can be similarly cavalier with delivery in the city, but at least Bezos takes responsibility when they don't deliver.

Pleasant shopping experience today working with Lori T. She was patient in dealing with a complicated return/repurchase. She was friendly, efficient & professional. There was also a young man (didn't catch his name) he did mention he enjoyed cooking Italian food. He helped me with a gift card purchase. He was friendly & helpful in suggesting items to buy.

You know what? One star Bad memories more than good memories. That’s worth a star deduction. I was the one who years ago left a note saying one of the employees told me you can touch an induction stove after cooking — as if the heat isn’t transferred by contact. I now think he was trolling me. I’m glad I left Berkeley but these experiences continue to live on in my life. — I really want to like this place. As I checked woks and Nespresso capsules out the lines were unorganized and long, an old white lady cut in front, and the staff doesn’t notice or don’t care. Williams Sonoma has better staff and Amazon has better priced Nespressos for the same product. I decided to put my money where my mouth is and walked out with nothing. — — I have been here a few times to get kitchenware in the past 2 years. Today, I went due to an issue I had for the first time, with a recent purchase from another location, and they helped me out professionally. I was happy I went today.

Excellent customer service when we had an issue with a product ordered through Amazon. Props to the store manager Lisa and associates Theresa and Michelle. I worked retail in the past and customer service was a priority back then. These days in general not so much. The folks at Sur La Table Berkeley deserve the praise and the recognition from their regional managers. Retail is a thankless job for the most part and some customers act like real a**holes sometimes no matter what the associate does. That has never been my approach with retail since working in that environment and it usually works in your favor to be polite in general, even in life people! Because of this service even though we live 30 minutes south of this location we are considering making the drive to buy a new set of dishes there. Thanks for keeping customers happy!

Your website isn’t processing the feedback form so hopefully someone at corporate is monitoring google. FYI your Berkeley store is probably losing 75% of its sales today because only three checkers are here and they’re unbearably slow - probably a 2:1 chatting to checking ratio.
