I have been at the Taoist Tai Chi Center since June 1st, 2015. I started a beginner class consisting of 4 months of instruction. As soon as I walked into the studio, I felt at home. I was welcomed warmly. After the first 4 months I was able to start continuing classes. There are many classes during the week, every day, morning, afternoon or evening. I found the facility to be first rate, beautiful, clean and treasured. The teachers are excellent, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Tai Chi is not something you finish learning. It is an ongoing discipline and study with the only goal of learning more - not finishing. I now go 3 or 4 times a week, sometimes more. The cost is extremely modest, and if a person cannot afford it, arrangements can be made. It is enriching for body and spirit, and you find yourself surrounded by open, friendly people. If you have specific issues with your body (who doesn't?) you will be helped to adapt the movements to what is possible for you. In addition there is a tea/snack chat break built into every class. There are too many other activities to list here. I am so grateful for this place. My body has undergone wonderful changes, and I have made a lot of new friends. If you are thinking of pursuing Tai Chi, I encourage you to come by and try some classes. You will be pleased with what you find. Now I can't imagine life without it.

My home is too small to do the 108 move set so I have been doing the foundation exercises such as Dan Yu’s and tor Yu’s. They are helpful to do because much of the 108 move set is based upon those two foundation exercises. I hope classes open soon because it will be great to practice tai chi in a big room with other people.
