Users in their reviews provided a mixed but insightful perspective on Target. Positive reviews often praised the wide range of products available, the affordable pricing, and the convenience of both in-store and online shopping options. Many appreciated the stylish and on-trend merchandise along with the benefits of the Target Circle loyalty program that offers rewards and savings. Customers frequently highlighted helpful and friendly staff as a plus that enhances their overall shopping experience. On the other hand, negative reviews tended to focus on issues such as product stock shortages during peak times, occasionally long checkout lines, and inconsistencies between store locations in terms of service and inventory. Some customers expressed dissatisfaction with recent changes in Target’s diversity-related product offerings, which caused controversy and impacted customer sentiment. In conclusion, while Target is well-regarded for its variety, value, and convenience, room for improvement remains in inventory reliability, customer experience consistency, and managing public relations around corporate initiatives. Overall, the reviews paint a picture of a popular retail destination that continuously adapts but faces challenges in balancing growth, customer expectations, and social responsibility.

So apparently Target wants to start looking like a Bed, Bath & Beyond, cause this place got a total makeover that attempts to up its fanciness to a higher level. But just like BBB, they are going out of their way to practically not be of any service to anyone. The video game department has no one, not a single soul, to even buy the games they had on sale. Not only that, the PS5 and X-Box areas look absolutely deserted in terms of any form of stock, esoecially video games. It's like gaming gives these workers hives or something, cause they are just not in sight.

I have lived in the neighborhood for over 5 years and Target has diminished in customer service and overall operations. NOBODY greets or provides any service. I believe it is the leadership that drives the staff and especially younger generation to go out of their way to help a customer. I can count on one hand and remember the employees that had either greeted or helped me out. Currently, I drive out of my way or order online before going to Target (3 blocks away). They need a culture shift and change in leadership ASAP!

That has to be my worst Target experience ever. I walk around the store I grabbed seven items. I walked to the self-checkout the very first item I scanned was double the price that it was labeled as. So I didn't take that item, which meant another item that I grabbed I wasn't going to buy so I didn't even scan it. The next item I scanned was a bathroom scale also $5 more than it was labeled. Also the pistachios were a couple dollars more than labeled. That means three of the seven items I grabbed were mislabeled in price and resulted in me not buying two of them. Honor your pricing, or next time I'm going to take pictures and bring a lawyer with me. That was just ridiculous.

Smooth-running location. This location is huge and has everything you want/need. There’s a wide variety of items for each category. They had a big clothing selection which was helpful because I needed a few hat options. Their grocery section was huge. Bigger than I’ve ever seen at a target. I needed some berries and they had lots of options.

Spent less time shopping for groceries than I did waiting in line. While management just paces back and forth doesn’t help their staff. Customer service doesn’t answer the phone. Only good thing about the store is the laundry detergent is not locked up. Only reason I shop at target. Probably won’t be back

Why do the reviews and ratings matter when choosing Target for your meetup? While Target holds a respectable 3.5-star rating from 792 reviews, understanding the strengths and weaknesses highlighted by customers can guide groups in making the most out of their visit. A rating of 3.5 suggests a generally positive experience but with room for improvements—perhaps in areas like crowd management, checkout speed, or product availability. For groups, this means the experience may vary slightly by location and timing, so planning meetups during less busy hours can enhance comfort and convenience. Positive reviews often praise Target’s wide selection and friendly employees, elements that contribute significantly to enjoyable group outings. Negative feedback, when considered constructively, helps set realistic expectations and encourages groups to prepare by bringing a flexible mindset. With thoughtful logistics and an understanding of the store dynamics reflected in reviews, Target remains a reliable and resourceful venue for social gatherings and meetups.
How can you make the most of a group meetup at Target? To optimize your meetup at Target, consider planning around shared interests and practical needs.
