I grew up in Tarrytown, playing at Triangle Park, visiting Tarrytown Pharmacy, it is a beautiful, old, and stately neighborhood. Tarrytown, like many, if not all, of the neighborhoods in Austin is struggling to retain its original understated character as more and more of its original homes are bulldozed to make room for the new, modern, boxy structures that appear to be greatly in demand by the young adults, couples, and new families moving into the neighborhood. Such changes will not scrub away the charm which has built up over decades, but they do seem to dull the shine a degree or two all the same.

Great little outdoor ping pong table here. Only one I know of in a public park in Austin. Downside is it's close to playground. Bring your own paddles and balls!
