I went for the first time today and had an excellent experience. I went in for a beard trim of my unruly beard and a clean up of my handlebar mustache, and have Ibrahim (apologies on the spelling of its wrong!). He did an EXCELLENT job, it's the best styling anyone in multiple major cities has ever done on my facial hair. Taylor & Colt just earned a lifetime customer today.

Ibrahim was my barber and he gave me a great haircut and beard trim. I did not know what hair style I wanted so he gave me some suggestions and showed me so photos and we decided on one. I’m very happy he took the time to do that. Highly recommended!

I slept on my experience at Taylor & Colt and decided I had to give this place 1 star. Off the bat, I walk in and nobody was friendly at all, they coldly told me to sit and wait for my hair stylist, Sandra, who showed up late to my noon appointment. After about 5-10mins of setup, she told me she was ready but didn't say hi or act friendly in any way, didn't even say her name or ask how I was doing. For a $40 haircut, I was hoping to get some creative/artistic direction on how to get my hair how I wanted it. I showed her a pinterest board of hairstyles I would like, which were longer mens hair (hairstyles that Sandra claims in her profile on the website that she specializes in). She was rather terse, telling me I just need to keep the top and shorten the sides. When the haircut was done, I realized the sides were cut in such a weird, uneven way that they look triangular. On top of that, my hair looks WAYYYY shorter than I wanted, and later on I noticed the sideburns were not only too short but also uneven as well. Im incredibly disappointed by how dispassionate Sandra was and how little she cared. I'm also shocked at the unfriendly and tense vibes when I was there. It felt uncomfortable to even speak. I have no idea why I paid for this haircut, I promise you I will never come back, and I'm sitting here wondering why I paid $40 for a haircut I didn't like and will now have shell out another $20-30 to get it fixed. I DO NOT recommend Sandra or this place in general.

Taylor and Colt Barber Spa is a modern, gay friendly barber shop with a very welcoming staff. I had a brief wait during my visit and was kindly offered my choice of beverage. My stylist was Brooke. She listened to my wishes, asked questions, and made suggestions about how my hair might be done. I love the result! If is a bit of a drive from my house, but I will definitely go again. If you are looking for a modern style in a nonjudgmental environment you should consider this place.
