I started going to Tempo over 10 years ago. Kirk and Jenny are super friendly and knowledgeable owners. They know fitness and are good at working with people regardless of their fitness level. The studio is intimate and has quality equipment.I used to regularly attend spinning and pilates classes, but fell out of the habit since Covid. They have adjusted their business model to do classes via Zoom. I look forward to using their services again.

How does the unique combination of cycling and Pilates benefit group fitness meetups?

Cycling builds cardiovascular endurance, stamina, and lower-body strength, producing immediate feelings of invigoration and caloric burn. This energizing activity can ignite group members’ enthusiasm, boosting morale and encouraging friendly competition or synchronized pacing. Conversely, Pilates offers slow, controlled movements that focus on stability, flexibility, and core strength, providing a perfect counterbalance to the intensity of cycling. In a group setting, this can foster mindful relaxation and injury prevention, helping participants improve their form and alignment while reducing muscle soreness after cycling workouts. The interplay of aerobic and anaerobic exercises also keeps workouts varied and interesting, preventing monotony and catering to members’ different preferences or fitness goals.
