I wouldn't recommend Sand Point to anyone. It's not a welcoming environment. The experience as a member has been very frustrating, and after trying it out twice, it's clear you're not valued as a paying customer. Everything (courts, clinics, classes, etc) is always fully booked, even when you try and schedule in advance. The tipping point for me in leaving a negative review is that I was notified via email about my membership being up for renewal, and was instructed to respond to said email if I didn't want to do that. I responded to the email immediately that I did not want to renew my membership and was still charged the yearly price. It's clear that the level of unprofessionalism leads to many paying members who aren't able to use the club in a normal fashion, thus being a simple money grab.

3 stars only because they handled this situation without any conflict.. Joined and was really excited by the quality of courts and facility. Unfortunately I could never book any court time outside the occasional first hour of day or last hour of day. I would check reservation system first thing each morning and the newly offered days would be booked up by 6am of the day they were listed. I asked to cancel my membership and refund my membership fees since it was unusable to me and they agreed to do so no questions asked.

I’ve been a member for maybe 2 months. And so far it’s impossible to get any court time. It took over a month for me to get into a rating clinic. And drop-ins fill up in less than a minute. You’ll have better luck getting Taylor swift tickets. Hopefully the experience gets better.

The indoor courts here are well-taken-care-of and the lighting is unobtrusive. Though the annual fee is reasonable, there are also $26 court fees for each player for each 75-minute reservation (and if you're thinking that that's not enough time to play doubles, you're right and it helps to have a second member of the club to reserve a second slot - the court fee for doubles is $16 for each). There are also $15 guest fees that are paid by the member (on top of the individual court fees). They do have a reasonable $15 fee for an hour's use of the ball-slinging machine (on top of the court fee), but, as you can see, things can add up pretty quickly. (I'm already looking forward to sunny weather again! :) They do have a free session for members for evaluating your skill level. And they have Live Ball sessions for developing your skills among like-ranked members.

Since 2022, they auto-renewed my membership without sending any email statement, even though my account preferences were set to receive notifications. Canceling is frustrating—it must be done via email, with no online option, and their email responses are slow. I'm canceling because their classes are so crowded now, it's almost impossible to book a class fitting my need, essentially wasting the membership fee. It used to be a good place for tennis classes though.
