A member of the team, a female with short hair, chin piercing, and glasses had various interactions with our table and others in the most rude and condescending way. She was an aggressive and unprofessional tyrant which killed what was supposed to be a light spirited vibe for the night. People are here to laugh, not to yelled at treated like children. She is better suited to work in a prison than she is to deal first-hand with the public. Sexondly, if you’re going to have a 2 item minimum, the food should not be absolute garbage. The grease on the food was so heavy, we were sickened for the rest of the night through the next morning. We had to send back a Cesar salad because the chicken was at least one week old (or tasted like it). The “general seating” is poorly laid out, as we were elbow to elbow with our neighbors. The facilities are outdated and not the cleanest. Two positives were that the air conditioning was working well. Our server, a younger male with blondish curly hair was also very nice.

We went here to see Don Mcmillan performing. We arrived when the box office stated they would open and they had already been open for over an hour. We were seated but not a great view from the side of the stage and since Don uses a screen made it very difficult to see the items being displayed. The table next to us was very kind and moved to let us see better. We enjoyed the show. You must remember that what ever you pay to see the performer, you must add another almost $30.00 per person for the item minimum and a 18% service fee, this does not go to the servers, this goes to the venue. We had a great server and had a wonderful time. We found the place clean as were the restrooms. Will return in the future.

The comedy show was excellent and food very tasty. The margarita was interesting. 5 ⭐️ Bryce, however, kept forgetting to bring us a fork and sides. We had to ask the server handling another table. When closing out our check, Bryce failed to come back with our receipt and three dollars and some change in cash. Quite disappointing. Funny thing is we had eight more dollars waiting for him to add to the change. Had he been honest. Granted 18% gratuity is automatically included in the check per receipt. I just like to give a little more. Don't believe I'll return. Overall, it was a good first experience at this venue.

Nice venue. It is larger than it looks, servers working hard but check your receipt because they already include a tip of 18% without asking, so the tip is on the receipt you don't need to add a tip

The show was good but as other reviews have noted they add gratuity already and then prompt you to tip again when you pay! Pretty shady because I was completely unaware, and glad I asked for a receipt or I wouldn’t have noticed. They also do not offer water you have to buy a $4 bottle of Ozarka?? We got two appetizers and two drinks and spent $90

What is the atmosphere and seating arrangement like for groups? Although The Addison Improv is known as a comedy club where intimacy and energy combine, the atmosphere is designed to balance a lively vibe with group comfort. Seating is arranged to maximize views of the stage while enabling guests to interact easily. High tops, tables, and booths are positioned to accommodate small and medium-sized groups with the possibility of combining spaces for larger parties. However, it is worth noting that the venue can get packed during popular shows, which might make seating feel cozy and, for some, slightly cramped. Despite this, many find the space’s design fosters a sense of closeness that enhances the communal laughter experience, rather than detracting from it. The lighting is deliberately focused on the stage to keep attention on the performers, resulting in a dimly lit dining area that creates a relaxed, theatre-like ambiance ideal for socializing around good food and drinks. Those who prefer premium viewing spots are often advised to book early and aim for front-row tables or high tops near the DJ booth. Overall, the atmosphere balances energetic entertainment with a cozy environment that invites guests to relax and enjoy their evening in a social setting.
How do you book and what should groups expect when reserving? Booking a reservation at The Addison Improv is straightforward, with options to purchase tickets for specific comedy shows or to reserve the venue for private group events during non-performance hours. For regular shows, it is recommended that groups book well in advance, as popular dates tend to sell out quickly due to the club’s reputation and limited capacity. When reserving for private gatherings, groups benefit from access to the venue’s full range of amenities including sound and lighting equipment, AV options, and catering services with customizable menus. The staff is experienced in coordinating events of various sizes and types, ensuring that private group functions run smoothly with dedicated attention from event coordinators. Guests are advised to consider that there is typically a minimum food and beverage requirement per person during performances, which helps maintain an enjoyable atmosphere and supports the venue. Parking is available nearby, although it may be paid, so groups should plan accordingly.
