I recently joined the pottery membership at Artist Outpost, and it's been such a great experience. Right from the start, I felt super welcomed by the staff and the friendly community of artists. The membership gives you plenty of flexibility to come in and use the studio when it works for you. The space is stocked with everything you need, whether you're new to pottery or more experienced. There's a great selection of tools, and the clay is provided, which is a huge plus. It’s nice not having to worry about buying your own materials and just focusing on creating. The atmosphere is really laid-back and supportive. Everyone I’ve met has been super helpful, and it’s motivating to be around other creative people who are also working on their projects. If you're into ceramics or looking to try it out, I definitely recommend the membership at Artist Outpost. It’s been a fun and rewarding way to spend my time, and the sense of community really makes it special. The Picture below is a peak at the kiln before a firing!

I’m so obsessed with The Artist Outpost! I had never taken a pottery class and got the urge to give it a try. I just finished my first 5-class series with The Artist Outpost. The times are so convenient with after work options. The studio space feels like a perfect part of the community that I never knew existed. Every time I’m at the studio, I feel like I’m home hanging with friends. The studio is organized and has everything you need to get started with pottery! My main instructor, Meg, is so fantastic. She is just what you would expect from a pottery teacher: super experienced, paint brushes in her hair, great personality and easy to talk to, and very focused on intention and goals during the classes. She is always ready to answer questions and give advice about a piece. I love how she always asks for consent to touch a piece or to touch your hands to show you how to move the clay on the wheel. We had Ruben as a sub for 2 classes and he is also incredible. He gave so much support for specific issues I was having with my wheel throwing. I already signed up for the next 5-class wheel throwing pottery series and might even consider taking one of their other art classes, like painting, in the future! I highly recommend and can’t wait for more enjoyable time at The Artist Outpost! Edited in December 2024: wanted that I have continued to love the Artist outpost and all that I have learned from them this year! It’s been so fun to continue to improve my skills through their pottery membership.

I cannot say enough here to express how much I love the Artist Outpost. Every member of my family has attended classes there...from kid's art to adult parties it is all such a wonderful time. The staff is beyond friendly and encouraging, and the space is lovely. But my very favorite thing that they have introduced recently is the Pottery Membership. I essentially have my own pottery studio right in the heart of town. The schedule is extremely flexible which is very important for me. It's really hard to carve out time for myself at home - there are too many distractions - having a space to go where I can focus on just making art has been essential to becoming a better artist and a happier human. I highly recommend checking it out!

I love the Artist Outpost so much!! I’ve been coming here for pottery since April 2024. I had been watching the Great Pottery Throw Down and wanted to try my hand at pottery. I looked into a couple local studios but Artist Outpost was the only one near me that had a pottery membership as well as classes. I started off taking their 5-series class, which I absolutely loved. Being brand new to pottery, I learned all the basic techniques for throwing on the wheel. I wanted more pottery time, so they let me pay to come in on Sundays for their Open Studio time. After 3 classes, I upgraded to a membership. I love the flexibility of the pottery membership! I can come in for 6 hours a week during open studio times to use any pottery equipment. The price is super reasonable and includes all the tools and supplies I need to make some great ceramics! The community at Artist Outpost is fantastic. I love the owners and the other potters. It feels like a second home for me and I look forward all week to Tuesdays and Sundays at the studio! I highly recommend the Artist Outpost for pottery membership and art classes!
