The Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake is an extremely fun trail that stretches around Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. Walking down it you get this hybrid sense of being somewhere quiet and relaxing, yet still surrounded by Austin’s ever expanding infrastructure. It is quite a lengthy trail that we have only gone through parts of but every time we’ve walked through it, it’s been an enjoyable experience. It can get quite busy at times with families, joggers, and bikes zipping around. Highly dog friendly but just remember to watch for bikes as some cyclists don’t call out their passing. Parking can be tricky but if you find a good spot (sorry, we’re gatekeeping ours) it shouldn’t be too bad. If you have anyone visiting you in Austin or it’s your first time here, we do recommend you check out this classic Austin trail!

It was such a beautiful day, and I got the chance to go kayaking on the lake. It was peaceful and serene. I fot.to see the ducks and some turtles. The water was calm, and the buildings looked beautiful. I can't wait to go kayaking at night.
