Awful, nothing is priced to sale. Garage sale stickers are on items and they want higher prices, rude man at counter from Peru, said fine someone will come tomorrow to buy as he replaces items behind shelf because he can not get high prices. Never been so insulted!!

Very clean all over and inside staff working in both clothing areas are professional and friendly. Wheelchair excess and customer service is exceptional. My favorite place to shop for reasonable prices.Overall Bargain Barn is just what the name says great bargains. A ten star place to shop for exceptional prices better than any goodwill or salvation army on any given day.

I have been to Bargain Barn multiple times and I went the other day an one of the men working there who I have dealt with before was extremely rude to me. I asked him the price of an item and he ignored me. Then when I raised my voice to get his attention he would not help me. I realized he was busy but I thought it was unprofessional of him to act the way he did. Some of the other employees have been great but this guy has always had an attitude since I have been going there. I won't be dealing with him if I ever go back there. Its a good place to buy furniture some of the employees just suck!

BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! This place is set up to rip customers off. Nothing is priced in this thrift shop. If you are driving by and search reviews follow my advice and do not even stop. The staff is not only very rude but they price items based on what they think that a particular customer will pay. So the price is not the same to all customers. Legitimate thrift stores will price the items and negotiate final prices. Stay away from this place there are many legitimate thrift stores to shop. This place reminds me of a really bad used car lot. I spend a lot of time treasure hunting thrift stores and could not believe how rude customers were treated here. Stay away until the Miami rescue mission changes This stores management and selling practices

The store and organisation is set up to help the community and offer a chance for people going through the program to reintegrate in society GREAT WORK. However some of their regular employees are a total disgrace, rude, obnoxious, one of them in particularly Alfredo, he takes pride in having costumers "kicked out " of the store. Most items are not priced, any disagreement or question about his choice of price and he rips off your hands the item and proceeds to have you "kicked out", as if he was in charge of the place. Thank you for your generous work and the kind service of your volunteers, but please find a nice desk and a chair away from costumers for Alfredo, you would be doing a favor to your costumers and others going through the recovery program, I have witnessed how he treats them.

How can you organize a scavenger hunt at The Caring Place for your friends?

Organizing a scavenger hunt at The Caring Place is straightforward and offers hours of entertainment for groups. Start by dividing your friends into teams of 3 to 5 members and agreeing on a budget to keep the game fair—typically $10 to $20 per team works well. Next, prepare a list of items to find within the store; these can be random (like an angel figurine or a blue picture frame), themed (vintage toys, kitchen gadgets), or quirky (a bridesmaid dress, a book you read as a kid). Remember, creativity in list creation makes the hunt more exciting.

Set a competition time limit—usually 30 to 60 minutes depending on the group's size and pace—and let the teams loose to scour the aisles. The goal is to find and either take a photo of or purchase the listed items. Once time is up, regroup and review the items found. Teams can share stories about their discoveries and vote on the funniest or most unusual finds. This activity encourages teamwork, sparks laughter, and makes the shopping experience dynamic rather than purely transactional.

What makes outfit challenges at The Caring Place an exciting group activity?

Outfit challenges at The Caring Place add a playful twist to your thrift store adventure. To start, set a spending limit per person—around $10 or more if including accessories. Participants then choose clothes and accessories for each other, mixing styles and eras to create unique outfits. The challenge lies in pulling off a cohesive or outrageous look with thrifted pieces alone, pushing creativity and humor.

After assembling the outfits, groups can stage their own runway show or take fun photos to share on social media. This activity has the double benefit of showcasing the store’s wide clothing selection and promoting confidence and camaraderie. Trying on unusual or vintage clothes together often leads to memorable moments filled with laughter and surprise discoveries. The Caring Place’s diverse inventory ensures plenty of options for everyone, from classic basics to eccentric statement pieces, making outfit challenges invigorating and inclusive.

This means every item you buy contributes to causes such as job training, emergency assistance, and other social services that uplift vulnerable populations.

Additionally, thrifting promotes environmental sustainability by giving pre-loved goods a second life, reducing waste and the demand for new resources. This eco-friendly aspect attracts socially conscious shoppers who want their activities to have a meaningful footprint. For groups, participating in this cycle of giving and sustainability enriches the outing with a sense of shared purpose, making it much more than just a shopping trip.
