There’s only one vegetarian pizza available, and sometimes they don’t even make it when there’s high demand for the other two non-vegetarian options. The same issue exists with sandwiches—there’s no proper vegetarian filling. I mostly see tuna, salami, ham, and other meats. When it comes to vegetarian options, it’s just onions, cucumbers, and a few other raw vegetables. Food is tasty but should be more vegetarian options.

The other reviews with 4+ stars have got to be paid off. This cafeteria is a disgrace to food. They revamped the hall while downgrading the food. No longer consistently carry favorites they used to have (probably because admin wants to cut costs to pad their pockets). At least it's relatively clean.

The food here is generally good and inspired, but not without its problems. There are plenty of options, with hallal, vegan, and vegetarian options constantly available. There are also occassional events that feel as if there is genuine thought put behind them. However, the food is infamous among students for sometimes being of a lower quality, with some of the various "bar" options going bad throughout the day. However, I write this as a 1st year student, and recognize that some of these issues may be due to low staffing or other supply chain issues.

Illinois Tech's primary dining hall. The staff is always nice, that much is a given on any day. The food is always a hit or miss. Since a new company has taken over, they have changed a lot of things. The only things that you can be sure have a consistent taste really are the grill food (usually a burger, hotdog and chicken with an additional special) and the self-made waffles. That aside, you're essentially gambling. Sometimes the food is really good. There have been a couple of Indian dishes that I have loved and thought were phenomenal. Other times though, things can be very over seasoned or even under seasoned, though I suppose the latter is better. It's not 5 star dining for sure, but it also (usually) isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
