Super special shoutout to April in the intake department and Jasmine for being my caseworker. After experiencing family violence, my life was devastated and I had nowhere to turn. The Family Place is a wonderful light at the end of a very dark tunnel. They have different group programs throughout the week to rebuild self love ❤️ they don't judge if you're neurodivergent & they're very trauma-informed. This is a very safe space, and everyone here appreciates the lengths the staff goes to keep it that way. They offer a wide variety of services in addition to emergency housing even if you have kids. I was able to finally unpack my emotions while surrounded by support.. That's something I'd never had before. There's no amount of stars that would be enough for this place, they break the scale!! 🌟 I truly wish I could hug every single person who makes this organization so outstanding! Thank you all for everything you do. The difference you make in our community is immeasurable, I'll never forget you guys. May God Bless The Family Place and all the Beautiful Souls who keep it running.. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This place let me run out of anxiety medication after almost dying, kept my only form of protection after I asked to leave (my taser) and literally never asked if I was even ok after traveling 8+ hours for safety. The employees are racist and the atmosphere is horrible for anyone truly trying to heal. Don’t waste your time. I’m reporting them to the state for withholding my seizure medication and my belongings which I signed for. They still have my anti seizure medication and I ended up in the hospital because of them.

The first time they took me the hospital for my 1 year old they left me with no way back I had to walk 30 minutes in the middle of the night carrying my baby and her car seat than today they took me and told me leave her car seat in the car and call when we’re ready then they called me while I was at the hospital and told me they would catch me a Lyft when I’m ready so I told them that I need her car seat. The lady offered to drop my car seat off and then later on and said that she doesn’t have permission to drop it off and the person ahead of her told her to tell me to buckle my one-year-old in the car and just call it a day if I wasn’t ready with 10 minutes so I had to ask them to remove my iv and sign out from the maternity ward so my child could have a safe way back. Just fyi in case you were thinking about coming. God bless you and your situation❤️

I want to share this with everyone I am so upset and deeply disappointed in the family.Place. My 2 sons my dog and I were fleeing domestic violence and came from another state to family place on 6/15 As far as I knew everything was going well. There wasnt any incidents in the kennel with the other dogs. I was so incredibly grateful to family place and had a lot of hope and felt really positive about things turning around for us. 2 days ago we took my dog to the vet. And the girl that works in the kennel Shayna grabbed my dog and proceeded to take her leash and march her into the humane society. I stopped her and asked her to not do that. Mania is very protective and if another dog runs towards me Mania will get aggressive. She's never killed an animal or harmed another animal but I don't take any chances. Shayna took offense to that and went back to family place and told them my dog was aggressiv despite never having any problems. my case manager waited Until three p m 7/2 To inform me that my dog had to be surrendered, mind you, she's 7 years old and I've had her since she was a puppy she is a registered service animal when I informed the shelter of that and pointed out there hadn't been any incidents and the girl that works in the. Kennel has no formal training or licensing to give any kind of informed opinion. I was told at 9 PM that if I didn't get her foster, we had to leave that night.. My. 2 sons, my dog and I've had to sleep in my car.The last two nights family family place will not even compromise and let her stay boarded so we can remain safe My. 2 sons, my dog and I've had to sleep in my car. The last 2 nights family family place will not even compromise and let her stay there so we can remain safe. In fact, I've yet to receive any kind of formal explanation from my case manager or any supervisor since I was informed my dog was aggressive and had to be surrendered. She's the only safe thing we've had sometimes my sons and I and how traumatic the last 2 days have been haven't watched my kids sleep in the car. Family place has been so. Hateful about it when I called to try to update the girl yesterday. She was laughing in the background with another call lake about my situation. I don't know who gives them their funding but honestly it should be removed.

There is a secretary there that has no empathy nor education, she talks to people like if she is being bothered not acknowledging that the callers are escaping from traumas.
