Why The Guild Bar is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

The Guild Bar in Soho, New York City, offers a unique and intimate setting perfect for meeting up with friends who appreciate a quality cocktail experience. Located within the Roman and Williams Guild furniture store, this tiny bar seats just five people, creating a cozy and social atmosphere ideal for close conversation and lively people-watching. Despite its size, The Guild Bar stands out for its signature martini, crafted with three gins, two vermouths, and a subtle saline solution, considered by many to be one of the best martinis in the city. The bar's distinctive setting amidst elegant merchandise like candlesticks and ceramics adds to its charm, making it both an aesthetic and sensory delight. For patrons who fall in love with the martini experience, The Guild offers a unique takeaway option: for a bit over $300, guests can purchase the iconic glass candy dish used to serve olives accompanied by a silver toothpick, a memorable keepsake from their visit. The Guild Bar inside the Guild hotel is directly before you as you enter the hotel.  They have bar seating and a few tables. Everything is at bar height, which for most may not be an issue but for us shorter people getting up on those chairs can be challenging. Once you conquer that... the service leaves something to be desired. Being that the bar wasn't very busy I can't equate the service to stress... the servers each night & during multiple visits just didn't seem to be particularly interested in providing great customer service.... it was the bare minimum. On the last day as we were checking out we decided to get a bite before leaving ... this particular server was obviously not happy to be at work. As a co-worker came over to him, our server stated. "I don't want to be here" The other person said "I appreciate your honesty" and walked away. Good thing the food is pretty spot on! The flavour profiles.. the presentation... it was all outstanding. The truffle fries were the gold star winners... How delicious are they... probably could have had buckets of those fries! The food & drink at this wee hotel bar was pretty outstanding... the service needs a whole lot of work.

Table 4 2 Chicago

During my visit to San Diego, I had the opportunity to dine at The Guild bar a few times and always had a great experience. Their breakfast starts at 7 AM, which might not be convenient for hotel guests with early morning meetings. However, if you can wait, the breakfast menu is totally worth it. My favorite breakfast dish was the avocado toast, which I enjoyed with prosciutto and a cup of coffee. The microgreens with grape tomatoes complemented the avocado on sourdough perfectly. In the evening, I had the chance to grab a few drinks. The bartending staff is super friendly and makes great drinks. This full bar gets busy during the mid-evening, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, my experience at The Guild bar was fantastic. It is highly recommended, especially if you are staying at the hotel.

In general this restaurant was okay(there are much better choices nearby with same price range). Nice atmosphere and BGM. The bar was pretty elegant, the sofa also comfortable to sit on. About the food: I ordered the salad with 5oz of Chicken breast. The leaves are salty and the chicken has no flavor at all. My husband ordered medium cooked steak. It comes with well-done and is really hard to chew. The beef did not taste fresh. The table we sit on is not stable. When my husband cuts the steak, it shakes like an earthquake happened...

Everyone working here is incredibly friendly and helpful. The drinks are great and the vibe is unmatched. Modern vibe with hints of art deco and dope light fixtures! Get the seasoned fries and baguette as a nice little snack before heading out!

The music was great in the courtyard playing bocce with a group of fun gals. Ronnie’s signature drink with strawberries and chocolate bitters was double yummy. We love our room, Ashley, Charissa, Christa, Layla, Matt, and all the staff we ran into. So fun and real Italian pizza. Pardon moi if I misspelled everyone’s name.
