I called them and asked if they could get a stripped screw out of a gas block and install a new gas tube and gas block. They said yes. When I arrived, I provided the parts, and they finished it in less than 15 minutes. Very pleased with this gunsmith. Very good price as well. I had no damage to my gun after the repairs. I will recommend you guys and continue coming here for all my gun repairs. Thank you guys!

I've come to the Gunsmith at Sportsman's Warehouse for various minor repairs on handguns, and although I haven't been happy with the very slow turnaround times or complete lack of communication, the work has been decent. However, I just had them Cerakote a 1911 in a single color, and when I picked it up, I was shocked at the poor quality for the finish. The coating was obviously added too thickly and "pooled" on the edge of the slide and frame. When I raised this issue with the guy at the counter, he told me I could have it redone, but that I'd have to pay for that. When I complained about the job, he got hostile and told me to take the gun somewhere else if I'm not happy. So I'm out $200 and have to have this redone by someone who actually knows what they're doing. I've learned my lesson, I'm never using this Gunsmith at Sportsman's Warehouse again.

Needed my AK rebarreled due to keyholeing issues and decided to upgrade it at the same time. Talked to a couple of their employees at the Crossroads of the West gunshow near august of last year and learned I can get the work done through them, which was awesome since I didn't need to send my rifle out of state. I was able to get a base price per hour quoted, prior to having the rifle dropped off, when I later reached out. After dropping my rifle off they reached out to me on multiple occasions to make sure I was fine with any process and change they needed to make to get the job done. Even when I called they informed me of the current progress and any delays that held it up. I was happy with the service and the friendliness of the employees. Took from mid February to mid April to get all the work done. Because I had to wait for a separate part to come in I wasn't able to safely test the rifle until recently. Keyholeing was fixed and the groups tightened up (both pics were at 25 yards, green/black target prior to service & white/red after). Adjustable gas piston works as it should & the threads worked for the muzzle brake i chose. Overall rifle runs a bit slugish becasue of a new trigger group along with the new piston, nothing that shouldn't be fixed with more tuning and maybe a new recoil spring. Overall I'm happy with the service and I'd reccomend their service.

Took my rifle in to get the muzzle threaded for a muzzle brake and it was perfect when I picked it up. Not only was it done right but it was also completed faster than expected. This team was also very knowledgeable on all the questions I asked.

Man, these guys here don’t just do great quality work, they also have great service. Eric reached out to me after posting about a horrible cerakote job that left my frame in pieces. I wasn’t even sure if I would get my firearm back. I didn’t expect anyone to help me out, but these guys did. They called and told me to bring it to them and have them take care of it. They told me they were busy but still managed to get remove, re-cerakote, and assemble my firearm back together within a week. I can’t thank these guys enough at this Gunsmith! Highly recommended. I will for sure be doing business with these guys from here on out. This is an honest group of Gunsmith’s that I would trust to get any gunsmithing/cerakote related things done.
