I called the store and the gentleman on the phone was helpful. I drove over as I needed the item for an event that I was performing for a highschool. Upon arrival they did not have the item that we discussed but I said I will settle for anything. The show is the next day. The girl did not want to help me. However the owner went with her to their warehouse and she became a little more helpful so I assumed that he said something to her. We found something and off I went. Within just a few minutes of the rehearsal before the performance my co star said to me you are shedding. I didn't have a clue. He said your boots. I couldn't believe it. I did not have a backup (That part is my fault) However, I usually rent the boots and this time I bought new so a backup didn't cross my mind. I tried to call the next day. I was told he was not there and that no one else could help me so left a message. Then tried calling again again he is not here I was told. I finally went by they said he was coming tomorrow. Lol The irony is I had actually given him some tips on how to grow his business when I was there the first time so I wasn't going to ask for my money back. I just wanted he and his team to know but the lady there rushed me out of the door like she couldn't be bothered so maybe this will finally reach his perview.

This store is such a great pit stop on Calle Ocho. They have all sorts of costumes for adults and children with a computer available to look up all the different outfits in stock. They also sell costume makeup, masks, and a lot of random magic tricks and pranks. The best part is that an assortment of the pranks and novelty items are set up along a counter, so you can try some of them out before purchasing. This location is a must-see while walking this area.

Walking into La Casa de Trucos is like stepping into a treasure trove of costumes and accessories. Their selection is impressively diverse - whether you're looking for something classic, quirky, or completely outlandish, they seem to have it all under one roof. The staff may take a moment to warm up when you first arrive (perhaps they're busy organizing the vast inventory), but once they do, they're genuinely friendly and helpful. During my visit, one employee spent nearly 20 minutes helping me find the perfect accessories to complete my costume, offering creative suggestions I hadn't even considered. What sets this place apart from online shopping is the ability to try things on and get personalized recommendations. The quality of their merchandise is solid, and they have options at various price points. If you're in Coral Gables and need a costume for any occasion, La Casa de Trucos is definitely worth a visit. Just give the staff a little time to engage, and you'll have a great experience.

Extensive array of customes and fun gadgets. It's a rather small place but well stocked up. It looks a little cavernous which adds character, and mystery to the place. Although it seems a little chaotic it's very well run for the owner and his, I assume, family. My only complaint is, they advertise as a custome rental place but they are for sale instead.

Interesting little, big shop. It has every costume you could possibly imagine. It is incredibly here. Not just costumes but props. It is a good place to visit. It has really cool tricks. A big counter. I bought one . It was a cigar box that made noise when touched. I really liked this place.
