We typically visit Monster Bar twice a year. Sometimes the cover charge at the door is $20. We have always been treated well. We patronize the piano bar on the main floor. We have had some memorable nights there. The singing (even among the amateurs) is usually of high quality. You can get up nice & close, it's a very intimate space. Patrons are generally very friendly & we have had some lively conversations. They are most certainly breeder friendly.

I have lived in New York City for over 25 years and been to the monster a few times and had a good experience. I went to the monster tonight and ordered bottle service in a VIP section. The bottle was $250.00. I ordered two Red bulls on top of that plus the mixers. The mixers were free but the Red bulls were an extra charge which was fine. When I decided to close out... The bill was almost $400. I asked for a detailed receipt multiple times and was refused. I will never go back to this bar again because it's a scam. I don't mind paying for my tab if I order something but they claimed they could not print a detailed receipt and for sure overcharged me. It didn't make sense that they couldn't print it because he had a computer screen for me to pay the bill on the POS. They could have easily showed me something on the screen or at least provided some information for what the extra charge was for. Thought it may have been a service charge or tip but they told me no that's not included. Still dumbfounded and confused but wanted to share my experience. If you go to this place be very wary of your bill and watch it closely.

The best service I’ve ever had. I love the vibe that they give me and I love how much they care as bartenders . My favorite bartender is Tyler. 😍 He IS the party. 🎉 Always kind, warm and loving vibes.

Had a great time at this pub — the drinks were solid, the vibe was chill, and the music? Not bad at all. But listen… if you really want to elevate the experience, here's a suggestion: Stop everything and go watch Monster starring Mohanlal. Yes, you heard me right. The movie is an absolute ride — mystery, drama, thrill… it's got it all. Honestly, it’s better than this pub (and that’s saying something because the pub is actually good). In fact, here's my humble request: Change the theme of this pub to match Honey chechi's fashion sense. Let’s get some movie posters up, themed cocktails named “Honey chechis Mystery” or “Honey chechi uyir,” maybe even a few scenes playing on the screens with honey chechi filing the in house displays. I think the combo of Honey Chechi and Mohanlal is a banger and the pub should adopt their vibe. Until then, 4 stars. The 5th star is hiding… just like the twist in Monster.

I had a great experience several weeks ago nice atmosphere and ambience. Staff was nice. Music good, and of course the drinks were good too. But I especially felt safe with the RNS security guards and them provide a loving welcoming understanding service to make sure for a safe environment for the patrons. I noticed them patrolling constantly up and down to both floors paying close attention to patrons and make sure to make them feel welcome. I would really highly recommend them to all the bars for thier services Really made my experience unforgettable.

How accessible and convenient is The Monster for group meetups?

Another key reason The Monster shines as a group venue is its accessibility and convenience. Located in a central or well-connected area, most guests find it easy to reach, whether by car with ample parking available or via public transportation. The venue often boasts flexible hours that accommodate varied schedules — specifically targeting evenings and weekends, prime times for group outings. Scheduling events or reserving space is usually straightforward, giving groups peace of mind that they can plan ahead without hassle. For larger meetups, The Monster’s layout supports private or semi-private sections, enhancing the experience by offering exclusivity while still benefiting from the overall vibrant ambiance. These practical features combine to make The Monster not just a place to play and eat but a convenient, friendly environment where group meetups are seamless and stress-free.

What makes The Monster stand out compared to other group venues?

The Monster delivers a unique combination of energy, variety, and inclusiveness that helps it stand out in the crowded landscape of group hangout spots. Unlike places that cater primarily to either dining or gaming, The Monster marries both elements, creating a dynamic environment that keeps the energy high and the options open. The rating of 3.8 suggests that while it may have some room for improvement, it consistently meets the expectations of a large and diverse clientele. The venue’s commitment to teamwork and positive group experiences is palpable in its layout, activities, and staff approach, fostering an atmosphere where guests feel actively encouraged to engage and enjoy as a unit. Its moderate pricing makes it accessible not only for special occasions but also for casual weekly meetups, broadening its appeal. Additionally, The Monster’s reputation as a lively and versatile place means groups can expect an environment that is just as suitable for loud celebrations as for mellow reunions, making it truly versatile for different group dynamics.

How can The Monster enhance your group's bonding experience?

Hosting a group meetup at The Monster offers more than just entertainment; it catalyzes deeper bonding and shared stories that last well beyond the visit. As groups participate in interactive games and challenges, they naturally build teamwork and friendly competition, both of which strengthen relationships and foster mutual enjoyment. The relaxed social spaces allow for uninterrupted conversations, creating moments to reconnect or catch up on life that digital chats rarely fulfill. Celebratory occasions like birthdays, reunions, or simply "just because" nights become infused with added meaning by the energetic yet intimate environment The Monster provides. The range of experiences from active play to savoring shared meals encourages groups to engage in multiple ways, ensuring no one is left out. Ultimately, The Monster does more than host gatherings; it creates an environment where friendships are celebrated, laughter is amplified, and memories are forged—all essential ingredients for any successful group meetup.

Why do reviews suggest The Monster is a good fit for casual and family-friendly meetups?

Feedback from patrons with varying expectations highlights The Monster’s balance between lively entertainment and an approachable setting suitable for family gatherings as well as casual friend hangouts. Its moderate 3.8 rating from a broad base of reviewers indicates that while it is not overly formal or upscale, it consistently delivers on fun and atmosphere. For families, this means there are likely activities and spaces tailored for different age groups, allowing kids and adults alike to enjoy themselves without conflict. Casual groups appreciate the laid-back vibe where they can feel comfortable being themselves, talk, laugh, and enjoy common interests in a relaxed yet stimulating environment. Reviews specifically mention friendly staff and a team-oriented atmosphere, which adds to the feeling of safety and welcome that families and close-knit groups value most. Together, these factors guide potential visitors looking for a reliable, enjoyable space that meets the needs of diverse groups without compromising on accessibility or enjoyment.

What should potential visitors know before planning their visit to The Monster?

Future guests planning a visit to The Monster should be aware that the venue has earned a solid reputation but also displays some typical challenges of a popular group spot. The 3.8 rating suggests some mixed experiences, which is common for places with high foot traffic and diverse crowds. It’s wise to consider timing — visiting during off-peak hours or making a reservation can help to avoid waits and ensure your group has a designated space. The varied range of activities means you can tailor the visit to your group’s interests, but some popular attractions might be crowded during peak times, so early arrival or planning some less busy times could enhance the experience. Being open to different activities and pacing the event (alternating between games, dining, and social time) often leads to a more satisfying visit. Also, reviewing the menu and any special event schedules ahead can help ensure your meetup captures the best The Monster has to offer, maximizing fun and bonding for your group.

How does The Monster accommodate different group sizes and needs?

The Monster is designed to be flexible, making it a welcoming venue for groups of varying sizes—from intimate gatherings of a handful of friends to larger celebrations with extended family or social clubs. Its layout includes versatile seating arrangements that can be grouped or separated according to your party’s preference, providing both communal spaces and quieter corners for conversation. Large groups can often request or reserve private areas to ensure a cohesive experience without disturbances from other patrons. Whether your group prefers to stick together for all activities or split up to pursue different interests before regrouping, The Monster’s staff generally facilitates easy scheduling and coordination. Additionally, by offering a range of activities and menu options accommodating different tastes and dietary requirements, they help ensure everyone feels included. This attentiveness to varying group needs highlights why The Monster is not just a place to gather but a venue that adapts to make your meeting truly yours.
