I just received a text to pick up my finished bowl! I’m very excited to see how it looks and thought this was a good time to give a proper review of my experience. I am a first time wheel thrower and didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with how low stress of an activity this was. Mike, our instructor informs everyone that regardless of your skills, you will walk out with a finished piece of pottery. He walks you through the steps and offers help if you get lost or left behind. I’ve been at classes before where I don’t feel comfortable asking for assistance, but Mike is incredibly approachable. You’ll get a text about 2 weeks after your first session. You have the choice to pick your piece up as is or can pay an additional fee to come back and glaze it. I think I paid a total of 50-60 dollars (pottery session+glazing). A good deal in my opinion to receive hands on help! The people that take these classes have all been very kind, creating a lovely atmosphere for someone new :)
