Awesome bar on Mississippi! One of those places you've probably walked by a couple times but never stopped in. Well stop in because it's a lot of fun. The bartender was awesome, very accommodating trying to help us figure what drinks to have. Drinks are very well made and the beers are nice and cold. We ordered the buffalo wing mac and cheese And it was outstanding! The tornado fries are really really good, very comfort food feeling for sure. Would come back again just for those. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu also.

Fun spot for groups of various sizes. There's bar seating, indoor seating, and outdoor seating in front (with firepit), side picnic tables, and spacious back patio with TV. It's a good stop when bouncing around Mississippi. The last time I went I had an amazing hotdog. I hope they keep some variation of it on their menu for summer!

Wish I could give zeros.. Bar tender (long greasy blonde hair & didn’t take a shower before work ewww!!) was upset because he wasn’t attentive to whose tab drinks were being put on & we were at a company event. I told him who’s tab & he said I was being disrespectful because “I didn’t just say my name for the tab.” Your bartenders insecurities are not my problem! When I asked for clarification he said “I talked too loud” when I ordered.. & immediately kicked me out? We had 15 people in our party & we’re sad to have to leave.. You work at a bar, it’s loud.. I’m still confused what the problem was & why I wad refused service. For the owners, look at your inventory.. We ordered 20+ drinks in our party of 15 people & the bill was $65… 😂 Your employees have no idea what they are doing & they are losing you money from paying customers/parties from their incompetence. Super embarrassing, do better & hire better!

Had a really great time here. It's on beautiful Mississippi Ave. Really nice covered outdoor back patio with a TV and heaters. Really great vibe. TONS of board games. We really enjoyed our time playing board games on the back patio, eating and having drinks. Really good extensive menu, everything we tried was good. Great happy hour menus too. Loved it here!

Some reviews mention minor issues such as heating delays or limited initial coffee supplies, but these are generally seen as small oversights in an otherwise excellent experience. The staff’s prompt response to concerns, like quickly cleaning the pool area, reflects good management and attentive service. Its balance between the feel of a homely apartment and the perks of a hotel is frequently praised, making it an appealing hybrid option for gatherings. Why is The Rambler better than a typical hotel for your group gathering?

Unlike conventional hotels which often give a standard room with limited space and minimal kitchen facilities, The Rambler offers a residential-style experience that can better accommodate group dynamics. The multi-bedroom, loft-style apartments allow friends or families to share a living space where they can freely socialize without disturbing other guests or being confined to small rooms. Having a kitchen is a significant advantage—groups can cook together, share meals, and save money on dining out during the entire stay. The presence of features such as a pool and a hot tub adds recreational options that hotels occasionally lack. Furthermore, the location in an arts-centric district offers a richer cultural context that typical hotel zones might not provide. This more relaxed and spacious environment fosters deeper connections, as guests can enjoy communal and private moments in balance. The Rambler’s thoughtful design and amenities support a gathering that feels personal, stylish, and thoroughly enjoyable, making it an exceptional choice for hosting a successful group event.

How accessible and convenient is The Rambler for different group members?

The Rambler’s design and services take into account the needs of diverse group members, from families with children to groups of friends looking to explore. The keyless entry means no delays or stress with front desk lines—each member can enter the building independently according to their schedule, perfect for staggered arrivals. Proximity to major city attractions is helpful for groups with varied interests; some can enjoy arts and museums, others can shop or dive into local cuisine without logistical hassles. The nearby trolley line adds transport convenience, easing travel burdens and reducing the need for multiple vehicles. The apartment’s ample space lets guests comfortably store luggage, gear, or personal items without feeling cramped, enhancing a stress-free atmosphere. Additionally, amenities such as multiple bathrooms and modern kitchens cater to everyday group needs practically and efficiently. All of this contributes to a seamless stay that respects everyone’s comfort and convenience, an essential factor in making your group meetup smooth and enjoyable.

What should groups know about booking and staying at The Rambler?

Planning ahead is recommended when booking The Rambler, especially for larger groups, to secure the right sized apartment and ensure availability during popular seasons. The self check-in process is convenient but requires awareness of the activation times for the entry codes, so groups should coordinate arrival times accordingly to avoid waiting outside. While the apartments are well-equipped, bringing along a few extras—like additional coffee pods or dish soap—might improve comfort since some guests have noted these as minor shortcomings. Being mindful of the no-staff, keypad-entry style means guests should prepare for a self-managed stay without on-site personnel. The surrounding neighborhood is lively but groups should exercise usual city caution, especially at night. Lastly, maintaining tidiness in shared spaces like the pool area ensures everyone can enjoy a pleasant environment. With these points in mind, groups can maximize their experience at The Rambler, resulting in a fun, comfortable, and memorable gathering.

By choosing The Rambler, your group commits to an experience that skillfully blends social warmth, modern amenities, and urban charm, making it a premier spot for meetups that matter. Whether it’s commemorating milestones, enjoying a casual visit, or simply catching up, The Rambler offers the space, vibe, and convenience to make your gathering truly special.
