I had my first yoga practice at this stdio , S P A C E with Kim. Warm and friendly, welcoming and was a satisfying yoga practice with a great instructor. I had a another great yoga session today S P A C E + S O U N D with Daryn. It was a great way to start the day. The movements were exactly what I needed, and everything was just perfect. I had never experienced a crystal singing bowl before, and I was completely captivated by it. I didn't realize where I was until the instructor brought me back to ’The Space’. I guess I was somewhere in ‘Between’ for several moments. My last class at TSB was a great session. I had been looking forward to ALIVE 75 with Julia Meyer and was absolutely satisfied. It was a pleasure to experience three different yoga classes, each offering its own unique way of bringing the joy of practicing yoga in Chicago.

One of the best yoga studios I’ve been to - period. Instructors are great, studio is beautiful, playlists are always perfect for the mood. The different class types are thoughtful and the schedule is nicely varied. Temperature is comfortable but never too hot. Mats, towels, and blocks are all provided. You simply can’t compare TSB to any other studio in Chicago. They’re in a league of their own!

I popped by for an unwind class right before my long journey home on a work trip. It was such a relaxing class, clean environment and super calming ambience. Megan's assist were gentle, and her instructions were clear. I loved it so much and will definitely pop by when I am next back in Chicago!

I absolutely love TSB. When I moved closer to River North, I felt called to try a class—and it was love at first… well, SMELL. Walking into the studio, I was instantly greeted by the scent of palo santo. The space is small, but beautiful, cozy, and elevated. I found myself coming back again and again… about 80 more times, almost daily, until I moved out of that apartment. Now that I’m in the suburbs, I still come back whenever I can. And while the studio vibes are wonderful, that’s not what keeps me hooked—it’s the community, the teachers, and the friendships I’ve built (both with myself and with the amazing people who teach and practice here). Every class and every teacher brings something unique. This is YOGA. No weights. No cardio. No shakes. Just pure vinyasa creativity, intention setting, and a touch of dharma. I’ve cried on the mats in that room. I’ve laughed. I’ve learned to admire myself more deeply—and through that self-love, I’ve grown to admire others too. If you’re looking for a “third place,” TSB is it.

The Space Between is an amazing and beautiful yoga studio! Daryn, the studio owner, goes out of her way to make this place feel inclusive and inviting and as a queer black woman I felt at home. New places can be scary and often uncomfortable to navigate but not The Space Between. Highly recommend ✨️
