This is a review of the Sunday brunch, not the special events venue. First off, the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, if also inattentive at times. The overall vibe of the restaurant is like visiting the cafeteria at your grandparents' senior living home, however with a better view. Dated, sparse and uninteresting furnishings and decor in an aging 60s building. The food was... not good. Comparable to the free breakfast buffet at the Holiday Inn Express, at best. We love the Swedish Club!! We've been here from time to time for Friday night dinners, special events and particularly their Scandinavian Holiday Bazaar. We haven't done language lessons or dance classes yet but my kid is interested so we'll probably be trying those things out soon. This week, for the first time, we tried their "light dinner" on a Wednesday and it was fabulous. It's set in the bar, so be aware that you'll need to go to the dining room or balcony if you bring a kid (whoops!). That said, I've never had such delicious stew. And their bar is reasonably priced and gorgeous on sunny Seattle days! It's absolutely a hidden gem, and I'm so glad we found it!
