I saw this place on YouTube as the top 10 haunted spots on Austin. I stopped in and had a draft IPA, a whiskey the bartender suggested, and some buffalo wings. They did my wings all drums which made me excited. The beer was ice cold and the whiskey did not disappoint. The wings were some of the best wings I've ever had! Bartender had a great sense of humor and the people were very friendly. Loved the atmosphere and the place was clean. If you are in the area it's definitely worth the visit. And no ghostly apparitions either, lol

Really enjoyed the food here. Solid tavern food and perfect for watching a game. The Tavern Trio had thick, warm chips that I appreciated since I was dipping them in queso and guacamole (hate when chips break while dipping!). The salad was delicious — the corn relish and pecan really add to the salad (I was hesitant about them thinking there would be too much on the salad; I was wrong). Would order that salad again and again.

Came here cuz one of my buddies picked it out. TVs were fine to catch sports. The fries were OK. The chicken fried chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil. The chicken skin was not crispy and very bland. The bacon wrapped wings tasted old and were just not good. The bathroom had this funky off putting smell, I had to walk 3 blocks to use the bathroom at 7/11. The appetizers cost the same as the entrees, so expect to spend $40-50. I definitely would not find myself coming back here again.

Stopped into The Tavern recently and was very happy with our dinners. I ordered the bangers and mash, and my wife had the Windy Davis—both were outstanding. I came in expecting typical bar food, but what we got was amazing. The Irish feel of the place made the whole experience even better—cozy, authentic, and full of charm. If I had to nitpick, it’s only that it’s a Kansas City bar (Go Birds!), but hey—when the food is this good, you let it slide. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend! 🍀🍽️

Great spot to stop for a drink or watch a game. We ordered the nachos which I was surprised when it came out with six large tortilla chips covered in cheese not your typical nacho plate, but it was still good. Very cool old tavern!
