What a cool venue and fun night out for our all ages crew of 9 that ranged from Boomers to Gen Zs. The rooms had enough going on and were spacious enough that our team of "research specialists" could team up or tackle puzzles alone. It's a very active experience, which we liked. You are guided through with your "alex" who in our case was not adverse to slipping us a clue when needed. More expert groups might not need clues, so the difficulty level can be higher for them. Fun group pictures at the end that you can download. One thing I particularly liked is how afterwards, even at night, you can extend the Tomb Raider experience with the Post Alley experience. Tomb Raider is kind of the bookend to the famous Gum Wall and you can stroll on up there and take in the South Post Alley fun alt vibe with Harbor Steps/Selfie Museum/Alibi Room/Improv Club and the weird and wonderful Gum Wall and on up to Pike Place Market. Highly recommend checking it out. No prior Tomb Raider experience necessary!

For $60, there were plenty of ways I could have spent my time—but fate led me to the Tomb Raider experience. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. The set and theme felt underwhelming, and as someone who enjoys escape rooms, this didn’t come close to being engaging. The audio was unclear, and much of the gameplay involved random trial and error rather than clever problem-solving. Even with the guide’s input, the clues felt pointless. Our group of six spent a total of $360, and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. Wouldn’t recommend.

Our group had the pleasure of engaging in the Tomb Raider Experience last night. Ours is a bit of a unique story, but I think it is incredibly worthwhile to share because it speaks to the unbridled care and dedication that the staff and owner of this escape room take to ensure that their guests have an experience to remember! Our experience began on NYE. Unfortunately to us, some issues prevented our group from experiencing the event that we had hoped to have that evening. Being understaffed and having technological issues, however, are out of anyone’s control, so this is not to be held against the establishment at all. Given the unforeseen issues, the staff, especially Alex (pictured below), was super apologetic and took extra time to ensure that our group still left smiling. His genuine level of concern for making sure we were taken care of was noted, and is something that you don’t often see these days in customer service. So, in my opinion, he deserves a raise! On top of this, the owner of the establishment, Seth, also went above and beyond in rectifying this situation with our group. Specifically, not only were we reimbursed, but we were upgrade to a private experience, given additional tickets, free merch, and he was also there the night that we rebooked for ensuring that everything was working properly prior to us having another go at the room! Our original Alex also remembered our group, and made sure that our new Alex took good care of us! It was awesome, and we were made to feel like absolute VIPs!! All this, and we haven’t even gotten to the room yet, lol! The room itself was outstanding! Our group frequents escape rooms, and we were all taken back by the production value of the establishment alone. There are several rooms in this experience, and you have the opportunity to solve various types of puzzles along the way. This gives each member of your group the ability to showcase their skillset! The theatrics were also fun, and I loved how it set the tone for some campy and delightful fun! I am also a fan of having one of the staff playing a role in the room , and subtly pointing you in certain ways if you miss something! Our second Alex did well at this too I will add, even though we were more partial to our first Alex due to our original experience! Our group had mixed opinions on some of the transitions from room to room, but I thought they worked and were consistent with the storyline. The one critique from our group was that Serge’s voice in the helicopter reminded us of Gru from Despicable Me, and was a bit hard to understand…other than that, everything else was wonderful! We appreciate and are grateful for the VIP treatment from everyone at the Tomb Raider Experience! You all went above and beyond, and we can’t thank you enough for your quality customer service and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure our positive experience! I will absolutely continue to recommend to everyone I know that if they haven’t gone to the Tomb Raider Experience yet, they absolutely need to! Thanks again!

The escape room was great. Good story, the live actor/guide did a great job and kept things moving. The escape room puzzles were fairly simplistic (not easy, but each puzzle had a clue in one location and once you match them up you're good to go), but the technology was great and it was far more advanced than normal lock and key type escape rooms . The only complaint we had (and we knew going in) was that our group of 3 was added to another group of 6. Not an issue in itself, we understand we didn't pay for a private experience (very very spendy), but we drew the short straw. The other group was very low energy, instead of solving puzzles we were stuck in a team building situation and social psychology experiment with people that really didn't want to be there (it seemed). We would have been far more successful doing it by ourselves, but not wanting to be over bearing or take over the experience, coupled with trying to pull them in and include them, despite them not really being interested in participating, became draining. I'm short, good escape room, but on vacation I don't want to try to build a team with strangers that I'll never see again and get people energized to have fun that don't want to.

We had an absolute blast at the Tomb Raider-themed escape room! I teamed up with my friend and four strangers, and we really worked well together. Our "Alex" (game master) was fun and kept the energy high. The puzzles were perfectly balanced—not too hard, but still tricky enough to keep us on our toes. We didn’t work on puzzles completely separately, though; we were able to break into smaller groups and collaborate, which kept things moving smoothly without crowding each other. The rooms were spacious, so we had plenty of room to spread out and brainstorm together. A perfect mix of adventure, teamwork, and problem-solving—definitely recommend for anyone into escape rooms or Tomb Raider!
