The Top of the Hub

Why The Top of the Hub is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family
The Top of the Hub was a beloved Boston dining destination situated atop the Prudential Tower, known for its panoramic 33-mile views of the city skyline and tranquil ambiance. While the original Top of the Hub closed, its spirit continues with The Beacon Bistro and Stratus Bar, located in the same iconic View Boston space on the 50th and 51st floors of the Prudential Tower. This location offers an exceptional place for friends and family to meet, combining breathtaking vistas with elevated culinary experiences. Diners can indulge in regionally inspired cuisine and handcrafted seasonal cocktails at The Beacon Bistro, which features a 22-seat window-facing bar that maximizes the view. The Stratus Bar, New England’s highest roof deck, provides an inviting atmosphere to enjoy sunset cocktails on both indoor and open-air decks, perfect for casual gatherings. The venue also offers unique experiences like the Chef’s Tasting Table, a four-course curated menu paired with wines, creating an intimate and exclusive event for up to six guests. Group dining options are available, making this an ideal spot for celebrations or business events. Overall, the combination of spectacular sights, thoughtful menus, and elevated ambiance makes this location a premier meeting spot in Boston.
Here's what people think of The Top of the Hub
As of recent, The Top of the Hub holds a 5-star rating based on 9 reviews.
Online reviews reflect a strong appreciation for The Beacon Bistro and the overall experience that has succeeded the original Top of the Hub. Positive reviewers consistently highlight the remarkable city views as a standout feature, often describing the sunsets and skyline as unforgettable backdrops to their meals. The quality and value of the food, especially offerings like lobster ravioli served with scallops, receive commendations for portion size and taste. Many patrons praise the attentive and personable service, with some noting thoughtful touches such as celebratory surprises for special occasions. The Stratus Bar is appreciated for its modern vibe, open-air roof deck, and expertly crafted cocktails, enhancing social gatherings. On the downside, some reviews mention the reservation policies—Stratus Bar does not currently accept reservations and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, which may lead to waits during peak times. Pricing for tasting menus may be considered high by some, and accessibility can be a factor given the location atop a skyscraper requiring View Boston admission. Nevertheless, negative feedback is minimal, with most guests leaving satisfied and eager to return. In conclusion, the venue has successfully redefined a classic Boston dining icon, continuing to receive high praise for its atmosphere, food, and service quality.

We had an event there last weekend and Hannah, the coordinator did great on helping us plan it. We worked with her closely a couple months before the event and she helped us organize and offered sound feedback. She was very helpful and energetic about our event. The event space is beautiful! All our guests complimented us regarding the venue. It is so spacious that people didn't even know other parts/rooms existed! Some left the party, not realizing there was a private room where i had set up an indoor play set for kids. The decor is beautiful that you don't really have to do much to decorate and the lighting is versatile! I love the loungey/couch look on the other side of the venue and there is a lot of outdoor space too with beautiful lighting and a photobooth backdrop! My guests had so much fun taking photos. They even have a huge full size catering kitchen to prep food/heat/store food. Hannah also included a lot of items in the set up and there are parking spaces available to purchase. They even have janitorial staff to take out trash and help clean up after the event. They kept the event looking very clean. We had about 120 people there, but there was so much extra space. I would def do another event there!! They have multiple sets of bathrooms inside the venue as well. I love this rooftop event venue, it is unlike any other in DTLA!! We have had many parties in other rooftops and this one is unique. They have everything you are looking for!

This the BEST new rooftop venue to host gatherings/event in DTLA. There is so much space to accommodate parties both large and small with amazing views that make a great backdrop for any photo or video. Working with the event coordinator, Hannah, was so easy as she is very communicative and constantly striving to provide the best experience for all guests. We will definitely be returning!

Super unique and versatile space for an event. So much better than the typical basic spaces you find. It was a perfect mix of spaces for dinner, cocktail party, wedding, business event, or social gathering - or all combined. Can really make it whatever you want. Outdoor space such a huge plus as well. Our guests love the uniqueness of the location, and having thier own private elevator acess to our own top floor. And Hannah Pope , who managed our event, was very helpful, accomodating and responsive. More importanlty she was very patient with us as we kept changing our details (bit of a moving target). And day of the event they are very helpful, coordiantes all the moving parts, and makes sure there are no suprises. You really cant go wrong using Top of the Hub for your next event.
