DO NOT GO!!!! Let me get to it — I found a long strand of hair in my drink. When I told the manager, he wouldn’t give me his name, he said he’d take the drink off, and when I asked about a discount he snapped back, “You want me to give you a discount on your food for a drink?” I told him my party had stopped eating after we saw the hair and lost our appetite but don’t even worry about it, we’ll just pay for our food and go. He had an attitude but said he’d take care of us. Later another manager, a slim dark-skinned guy, came over and was much more professional. He said he’d make sure we were taken care of, and when the bill came there was about a $40 discount, which was fine. But when the first manager came back and I asked if we could have the check split, he told me I was “asking for a lot.” I said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know asking to split the check was too much.” This man literally started arguing and fussing at me about how he’d already given me a discount and here I am asking for more. I told him don’t worry about it and he could just go. Honestly all I wanted was a sincere apology for the issue and maybe a free dessert or small discount. The food itself was just okay. The Philly cheese eggrolls were super good, but everything else was average. The deviled eggs and oxtails were plain and needed more seasoning, the fried chicken tasted old, and most of the food was lukewarm. Service was slow too — over 15 minutes for lemonade and more than 30 minutes for two appetizers. It was also cold and drafty inside, so the food probably cooled off even faster. The music and vibe might have made it worth trying once, but the way that first manager spoke to me and handled things ruined the experience.
