Friendly Spot with Flexible Whisky Pours The Whisky Bar was a nice stop—the bartender was super cool, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Prices were generally average, although a few of the pours leaned on the higher side. The real highlight here was their flexibility in offering smaller pours (0.5 oz and 0.25 oz), allowing whisky enthusiasts to taste interesting and niche bottles at just a fraction of the full-pour price, around 1/3 to 1/6 the cost. Their whisky selection was good, featuring some lesser-known and intriguing options that made exploring their menu enjoyable. The relaxed atmosphere and approachable staff added positively to the experience, making it a comfortable place to casually sample whiskies. If you're in the neighborhood, it's definitely a worthwhile spot to drop by and enjoy a dram or two without needing to commit to full pours.

Our first experience with this spot was some years ago. After we moved to SlWest Seattle, another one popped up in the old Feedback Lounge, a while after Beveridge Place Pub moves across the street. So, most of our experience has been in the larger space on Beveridge Place & California (Morgan Junction). Going to a show at the Moore, we stopped in a bit early, and did a short happy hour bar hop. No doubt, the staff are accomplished, and the cocktails rocked. Though he mentioned the French fries had a beer batter type coating on them, so we went for the tots which were a tad salty. I mean, fried food... well within norms. Next time, we'd probably ask for them 'no salt.' Decent prices, not sure if the Sunday early evening is a normal slow time, but we appreciated it. Parking in BellTown, sort of a crap shoot with regular crowded times. We'd go.back, but we have another in our neighborhood.

They have a great selection for whiskeys amazing staff we had the soft pretzel and the coconut, shrimp prawns very good I had several taste of different whiskeys. They have a great whiskey selection. If you're looking for some good whiskeys, this would be your place.

Highly recommended. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Lauren & Jon are two of the best bartenders I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. They’re both attentive, knowledgeable about their staggering selection of whiskey, and have a keen palate for the quality of their skillfully mixed cocktails. We were just in town for a couple days and popped in for a nightcap on our way back to the hotel. Needless to say, “a nightcap” turned into two hour of scintillating conversation over flights of bourbon, cocktails and craft beer.

What kind of crowd frequents The Whisky Bar?
The Whisky Bar attracts a diverse yet consistent clientele composed predominantly of local residents who appreciate a quality drinking environment without the pretension of trendier nightlife spots. What should visitors know about food and drinks at The Whisky Bar?
Visitors should come prepared primarily for a top-notch whiskey experience that is the centerpiece of The Whisky Bar’s appeal. The whiskey selection is extensive, ranging from affordable options to rare and premium bottles, catering to both novices and connoisseurs. While the bar takes pride in the quality and breadth of its drink menu, it is worth noting that the food options are limited and more of an accompaniment than a focus. The menu includes some small plates or snacks that are designed to complement the whiskey rather than serve as a full meal. This trade-off aligns with the bar’s emphasis on delivering a specialized whiskey tasting environment rather than a comprehensive dining experience. Guests who prioritize food might consider dining before or after their time at the bar. However, for those whose primary intention is to enjoy great whiskey, along with a well-curated setting and lively conversation, The Whisky Bar delivers flawlessly. The balance of exceptional drinks, knowledgeable staff, and a relaxing environment ensures every visit is satisfying.

The bar’s layout supports a comfortable flow of people, ensuring that even when busy, groups can find seating that fits their size. The two- and four-person booths encourage mingling within smaller clusters, but the overall design allows groups to expand their seating as needed. For those who prefer some fresh air or a place to pause outside, the bar’s patio is a convenient addition. These features combine to make The Whisky Bar not only a destination for great whiskey but also a practical and enjoyable place for social gatherings. Bartenders are approachable and knowledgeable, adding an educational element for those interested in exploring whiskey varieties.
