I’m not exactly what you’d call “athletic,” and my golf knowledge begins and ends with “that’s the one with the tiny white ball, right?” But wow—am I glad I went. From the moment we stepped onto our bay, I was greeted with sweeping views of the McDowell Mountains that honestly made me feel like I was on the set of a luxury golf commercial (minus the skills and with way more mozzarella sticks). The place is modern, sleek, and surprisingly cozy—think sports bar meets upscale lounge with a side of therapy-by-swing. The food? Surprisingly good. The drinks? Strong enough to make you believe you actually are good at golf. And the staff? Friendly, fast, and probably used to people like me dramatically yelling “FORE!” after every swing… even when it wasn’t necessary. (It never was.) And look, if you’ve recently had your heart broken—nothing says “I’m healing” quite like whacking a ball as hard as you can into the desert air while shouting, “THIS ONE’S FOR YOU, BEAU.” Whether you’re there with friends, family, or just to work out some emotional turbulence—Topgolf Scottsdale has you covered. 10/10 would swing again… preferably with better form and maybe a little less emotional baggage.

First time to TopGolf and the view of lights from Talking Stick Resort and Top Golf in the evening were a beauty. The atmosphere was nice and the character of people was easy going and chill which was really nice. I was amazing by the game options, which was unexpected and pretty cool! The issue I had was that the design wasn't centered or evening spread, making our teams experience less than fun. We were in the very first 2 bays to the left and the only things in our line of play were the sand pits. It wasn't till we paid for another 1 hour and moved center, when we finally got to play the games. All the sand pits and fancy lit up sections (holes) should have been evenly dispersed around the entire space, giving every player, no matter your bay and even chance to play. The drinks were small, the food was burnt and the waitress and waiter we had were subpar. The waiter was non existant and really pissed that tip was based off the cost of the game as well as food service. You don't tip on the cost of a bowling lane so why should you tip on the bay rental? I think $65 per hour is steep. The overall concept is much better than I expected, but won't go again unless it's a much less price and I won't tip off the cost to rent the bay. Outside of the bay cost, my bill was only $12...yet I tipped 20% off $77 and my server came once.
