We went to True Food Kitchen for lunch on a weekend. It was great! My favorite part about this restaurant is the abundance and variety of healthy options. It's a crowd pleaser for sure. I had the Plant Based Double Cheeseburger and it was amazing. So rare to find a delicious house made patty. Most places are serving Beyond or Impossible these days. The jalapeno remoulade sauce was super flavorful, not too spicy. We also ordered a seasonal lemon ricotta and mushroom sourdough pizza. This was amazing. The dough was delicious and the toppings were thoughtful. We also ordered dessert, a chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and a lemon sorbet with blueberry compote. I highly recommend the sorbet. It was tart and sweet and the perfect way to wrap up a meal. The chocolate chip cookie was indulgent but it needed the ice cream to balance it out. The ice cream had a coconut flavor so if you're not into that, avoid it. For me, it was great The service was fantastic and friendly throughout. She offered recommendations and was prompt with ordering and refills. Everything we ordered was vegan but people in our party ordered non-vegan fare and enjoyed the same. Highly recommend going with your friends or family. Everyone will find something they can enjoy.

We just left True Food Kitchen in North Hills, and it made a great impression on us. It’s an awesome spot, and we’re really happy with our experience. First off, it’s a beautiful place with great staff and a menu that’s not only well-designed but also super tasty. As for the food, my wife and I ordered burgers, while our friends got the poke bowl and a beef salad. Everyone was very satisfied. We also got two kids’ burgers, and honestly, they were only slightly smaller than the regular ones, which was a nice surprise. Highly recommend this place! We’re definitely coming back, especially to check out the bar and try more cocktails. I had the Mexican Old Fashioned, and it was excellent—rich and flavorful. The overall vibe and interior design of the restaurant were also top-notch. We’ve been meaning to visit for months, and now that we finally made it, we’re so glad we did. We’ll definitely be recommending it to everyone. Cheers!

***Update*** 6/7/25 I took a friend here for a field trip since it's close to her house. She said I have been hiding one of Raleigh's new best kept secrets! 🤣 We split the Lettuce Cup Appetizer, but swapped the shrimp for tofu since I'm vegan. That one is then GF and Vegan if you do it that way. It's freaking delicious! And we got the Cookie A La Mode for dessert, since it also checked the GF and Vegan boxes for me. We both absolutely loved it! Once again, a great time here! ***Update*** I brought my Dad to lunch with me this time and I tried the Korean Noodle Bowl with tofu added. It was very good! My Dad got the same thing I got last time, and added avocado. He said it was delicious! Took my Mom back again for her birthday. This time we decided to try dessert and got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart (Gluten Free and Vegan). It was so delicious! Spot on with the flavor profile. The only thing that could have made it better would be a few raspberries on top with some coulee. My mom and I decided to try this new place out for lunch and are glad that we did. The restaurant itself is very modern and clean, but has fantastic ambiance as well. Good seating everywhere around and the bar design is lovely. The service was great, as was the food. We both decided to try the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl (definitely one of the tastiest looking vegan and gluten free dishes) and a cup of the seasonal Butternut Squash Soup .I also wanted to try the Iced Oat Shakerado, but wanted it hot. Everything was phenomenal! The prices are pretty good for the dishes and portion sizes also, especially for being located in North Hills. This is a place I definitely try again.
