About two months ago, I started attending classes at Unplug meditation in west LA and that’s where they really taught me how to breathe. I learned to pause, feel my body and let go of the noise. I left feeling calmer like a weight had been lifted off me. I wish the sessions were a bit longer, but overall it was a very positive experience

Kristina Joy’s sound bath and breathwork session was one of the most beautiful and grounding experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I entered the space, I could feel her intention it was calm, sacred, and full of warmth. She creates an atmosphere where it’s easy to soften, to let go, and to reconnect. Her breathwork guidance was gentle yet deeply activating. Kristina’s presence is so steady and intuitive she knows exactly how to hold space in a way that feels both powerful and nurturing. As I moved through the breath, I felt energy shifting in ways I didn’t expect. It was like I was clearing space inside myself to breathe more freely, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually too. And then the sound bath absolutely transcendent. Every tone and vibration felt purposeful, like it was speaking directly to my nervous system. I could feel myself being realigned on a cellular level. There were moments I felt completely weightless, like I had dissolved into something bigger than myself. It was truly beyond words. Kristina carries a presence that’s rare grounded, wise, and heart-led. Her work is so much more than a session, it’s an experience of coming home to yourself. I left feeling open, clear, and deeply connected to my body and spirit.

I've been part of the SoCal wellness community for over 20 years--breathwork, sound healing, holistic health, you name it. I wanted to love Unplug, but sadly, my experience was deeply disappointing. At first, I noticed things felt off--the space didn't feel genuinely welcoming. The tea was scalding hot, the retail items overpriced, and the no-phone policy felt more about control than presence. Still, I gave it a chance and brought a friend, hoping to share some light-hearted healing. But the instructors showed up late. One was subbed in last-minute with no apology or explanation. Then one day, we arrived just five minutes late to a class that hadn't even started, only to find the door locked. No one told us this was the policy. We were met by a manager who spoke to us with cold, dismissive energy--like we weren't people at all. We weren't even allowed to use the bathroom or grab tea. We felt judged, unseen, and completely disregarded. For a space built on "healing," the energy was the opposite. We left hurt and humiliated. Healing requires humanity. Sadly, we found none here.
