We all love going to the lake and having fun. When they are asking us to stay off the lake we need to do that. LAKE AUSTIN, LAKE TRAVIS, TOWN LAKE AND LAKE BUCHANAN. PLEASE stay safe and enjoy life. We will be back on the lake real soon.🚤🏊♀️🚣♀️🛥🌊 However, due to recent flooding and ongoing conditions, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) advises everyone to stay off the Highland Lakes, including Lake Austin, Lake Travis, Lake Buchanan, Lake LBJ, and Lake Marble Falls, until further notice. Specifically for Lake Austin, the City of Austin had previously closed the lake. While the LCRA advises caution on all the Highland Lakes due to fast flows, flood debris, and potential contact with bacteria, they reiterate that the lakes remain open. Lake Austin is currently 95.1% full as of July 8, 2025. Lake Travis is 66.4% full, and Lake Buchanan is 79.7% full. It is always recommended to check the LCRA website for the most up-to-date information on lake conditions and advisories before planning any activities on the Highland Lakes, advises the LCRA.

Very peaceful view of the lake and million dollar houses. It's damed to the left with buoys to prevent issues. To the right are miles of water. Relatively calm waters, aside from the boat wakes. The only problem is that there's zero parking, aside for one handicap spot. Bringing your own gear you'll face problems with transporting your equipment. Little grassy area so fiberglass boards will get roughed up.

There are two ramps. Typically no issues. There is limited parking!! Please keep this in mind when placing trips out. People are generally relaxed and not looking for conflict. There are restrooms but they are porta-potties. The area is usually clean, so no trash and debris.

While we were waiting for our boat to pick us up, we were able to watch other boats and people with their dogs having fun. It was very relaxing and a fun evening.
