Lots of wildlife. Today I saw a snake, lots of bugs and birds. It’s dog friendly as long as they’re on a leash, and be mindful of the critters. I was metal detecting and the snake spooked me! I was lucky to come across a pair of mammoth donkeys out for a walk/ride on the trail. Overall I had a great experience

We did took our scouts pack out for a morning walk/hike around the loop. We were lucky to have such great weather for November. It was not muddy for us as it had not rained. I would recommend good water proof shoes if it has rained recently. The whole loop does not have gravel. Great for bird watching and awesome views. There is a covered picnic area if you bring a lunch. Careful with parking as there is not a lot there. Will definitely come back for future walks.

Amazing hike. It was an easy hike for my two kids, my wife and I to knock out in just under 2 hours. We had our dog off leash but he is amazingly well behaved so this lead to is getting a few looks from people with unfriendly dogs. The lake was amazing and the kids loved the bridge. Highly recommended with kids and or pets.

Extremely peaceful. The lake was dried up so no ducks, but we still saw a good amount of wildlife. There were lots of frogs and snakes. We saw bald eagles, hawks, and even heard a Great Horned Owl. The three mile hike was easy and had lots to look at.

Nice little hike. Very level. Mostly shaded from the sun and vibrant brush. Virginia Lake is already mostly a puddle.
