User reviews of the Washington Athletic Club highlight a consistent appreciation for its comprehensive and well-maintained athletic facilities. Guests often praise the fitness center’s ample variety of weights, machines, and conditioning rooms that are optimally sized to avoid the impersonal feel common in large gyms. Visitors to the Inn at the WAC typically note the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, although some mention that the bathrooms are somewhat small. Positive feedback frequently mentions the convenience of the downtown location, the club's elegant historic architecture, and the welcoming atmosphere that balances exclusivity with friendly service. On the other hand, some negative reviews touch on practical concerns such as the challenging vehicle unloading and loading area due to busy street traffic, which can make arriving or leaving less comfortable during peak hours. Additionally, a few reviewers suggest improvements for certain hotel bathroom sizes and occasionally tighter management of club peak usage times. In conclusion, the Washington Athletic Club is regarded as a top-tier choice for those seeking a private, full-service athletic and social club experience in Seattle, with minor logistical and space considerations that do not detract significantly from its overall excellence.

Their isn’t a better combination of networking and fitness in the city of Seattle. Equinox doesn’t compare. The culture for playing team sports amongst member is both race and age inclusive. The amenities are well cared for and you feel cared for by your membership here. Perfect co working spaces and restaurants for any meeting type

Love how organized they are. A whole building dedicated to members is like a playground! Make sure you spend the day here :) Parking for members are $18 for 6-8 hours and only a black away.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Washington Athletic Club as an affiliate club guest while in Seattle, and I wanted to share my experience. First off, the check-in process was a breeze—easy and efficient, which is always a plus after a long day of travel. We booked two connected rooms, which was a fantastic setup. They were linked by a private corridor that had a door requiring room key access, giving us a nice suite-like feel that added a bit of privacy to our stay. Parking was convenient too, with a secure lot just a block and a half away from the club. It was reassuring to know our vehicle was safe. I did find the bar to be a bit limiting for our group since it was 21 and up, which meant we had to look elsewhere for a more accommodating atmosphere. The cafeteria offered a variety of options, which was great for quick meals. It felt like a safe bet for us, especially after exploring the city. The pool, while small, was still good for getting in some exercise, and I appreciated having that option. The gym facilities were a bit of a mixed bag, though. They were spread out over different levels, and when I asked one of the gym receptionists for directions to the equipment, he wasn’t very helpful. It would have been nice to have clearer signage or more assistance. On the positive side, the track and basketball court were decent, even if they showed some signs of age. The hotel rooms themselves were reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. I also loved the coffee bar in the lobby, where you could grab small snacks and even alcohol—definitely a nice touch. One thing to note is that while Seattle has always felt relatively safe in my past visits, this trip had a slightly sketchy vibe at times. I did feel a bit uneasy while walking in public areas, but I never felt unsafe in the hotel or the club itself, which was a relief. Overall, my stay at the Washington Athletic Club was enjoyable. It’s a solid choice for those looking for good accommodations in Seattle, especially if you appreciate a blend of convenience and comfort. Just be prepared for a bit of a walk to some attractions, but places like Nordstrom are only about a 10-minute stroll away. In summary, the Washington Athletic Club provided a good balance of comfort, safety, and convenience, making it a viable option for visitors to Seattle. While there were some minor drawbacks, such as the bar's age restriction and the gym's layout, the positives outweighed the negatives. The connected rooms and secure parking made for a pleasant stay, and I would consider returning in the future for another visit.

My husband and I got married at the Washington Athletic Club in May 2023. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional and took care of us and our wedding guests. The catering and events team were phenomenal (thank you Dave, Katie, and Jennifer!). We had a room block at the Inn at the WAC where the majority of our family and friends stayed during the wedding weekend. We loved the amenities and the proximity to downtown attractions and the airport. We can't recommend them enough for your wedding or special event.

If you live and work downtown, you are missing out by not having a membership here. I find myself easily being able to spend hours here enjoying the expansive gymnasium, the pool, having a bite to eat, or working on my laptop in absolute comfort. The staff are extremely caring and accommodating as well. The club has emphasized itself as being a "home away from home" and it is a spot on representation. You can socialize, exercise, eat, relax in a sauna/hot tub/steam room, get a haircut, a massage, etc. The WAC truly provides and amazing in-between work and home that I didn't know I needed until I had it.
