Wet Clay Cafe is a small cafe that also doubles as a pottery store. Parking in this area is always a mess, either due to construction or it just being packed around the area so be prepared to walk. They have about two dozen tables inside, with the counter to order food or drinks right at the front. They have a few shelves of unpainted unfired ceramics and shelves of paint for you to create your own. Prices are under each piece and you can use any colors they have. They fire them there and you wait about a week to go pick it up. The menu isn't too big but they have a good amount of baked goods which are good. The breakfast croissant and caprese sandwich were pretty good. The staff here are always amazing, so friendly and helpful with anything you need. Prices here are actually good for the amount of food you get, and also for the entertainment value alone. In the back, they have some bearded dragons you can look at (great to keep kids occupied for a bit) and then also pottery classes to make your own clay objects. Overall this is a fun place for dates, groups, or even kids. It's also dog friendly which is nice.

We've done the early morning coffee and pottery painting together and loved the super casual setting so much that we signed up for their Friday Night Social pottery wheel intro. Zero experience needed and we had the best time. Erin was our instructor. Such effervescent energy and worked with us wonderfully as we made beautiful little disasters. The class was very low pressure and if you needed to start over, you just did.

This is a great place for painting pottery or crafting your own pottery piece! There are courses taught in person which walk you through every step of modeling and molding using a turntable. Pottery painting selection is quite wide, and have tons of colors to choose from. Hayden was very nice to guide me and the group through the whole process even when busy teaching a class. He also helped resolve a conflict regarding a reserved pottery course that happened over rescheduling. Randy the owner was also helpful, but we had to talk for a bit to explain the situation. Overall, great food, good drinks, and a cozy vibe.

My friend and I attended the “social club” pottery event, which is 30 minutes of socializing (with a charcuterie and drink included as a part of the $125 fee - it ended up just being the two of us for these 30 minutes, and staff were kind enough to store the unfinished portion for us to take home later) and then 2 hours of throwing. So fun for a beginner’s workshop! There were only 4 people in our session in total so each of us got a good amount of one-on-one help from the instructor Erin (who, by the way, is lovely and an amazing instructor)! Great positive vibes from her and Hayden - staff seem very warm, would recommend :)

One of the coziest cafes in Seattle with the added bonus of painting pottery! We went on a Monday evening and we got a good spot before the crowd came in around 6pm. It's very reasonable for the price given that you get all the equipment to paint pottery with. They have a huge collection of items to choose from (cups, plates, containers, trinkets etc). We only had the mocha (tasted okay) and painted two plates. You can collect the fired up pieces a week later and they look amazing! My only nit was that one of the plates had a few spots of paint from other pottery but other than that, it looks exactly like we thought it would. 100% recommend for a nice evening out.
