Very popular, easy and safe trail for all ages. Elevation is only at the start of the trail near the parking area. You will not hear the road noise after the first few minutes of hiking towards the Pittock Mansion. The trail is signed very well. Kids love it and we see new forest dwelling creatures and flowers. Recommend it for most of the year. You can go up to Pittock Mansion and be back in 1-2 hrs.
