Enjoyed a performance by Lights which was opened by King Mala. I'm a new fan of them both! This was a treat from my wife's daughter. Honored she wanted to share the experience with us. Intimate venue and a good audience. Nothing rowdy. So much love in the air. The energy of the locale and locals was felt deeply.

Staff was very friendly made me feel safe. Lines were not bad for drinks or the restroom. Great event for concerts if you enjoy standing and dancing. There is a small balcony if you need to sit and they brought out some chairs on the sides for elderly and children, but most of the venue is standing.

Seeing Godspeed You! Black Emperor live is an immersive, all-consuming experience that borders on the spiritual. Performing in near darkness, backlit by grainy 16mm film projections looped and decayed to haunting effect, the band lets the music speak without introduction or small talk. From the first ominous drone to the final crashing crescendo, the performance unfolds as a single, undivided narrative arc. The set—sprawling and seamless—was mostly newer material with older epics, all rendered with raw intensity. They felt like a brooding force of nature, rising from hushed minimalism to towering walls of distorted guitar, double drums, and screaming violin. Unlike a lot of bands, GY!BE offers no breaks, no encores, and no sense of performance-as-entertainment. This is protest music disguised as cinematic art—dense, uncompromising, and deeply affecting. In a time when live shows are often about charisma and spectacle, Godspeed You! Black Emperor strips everything down to sound, light, and resistance. It’s not for everyone—but for those attuned to their frequency, it’s unforgettable.

Wonder Ballroom is easily my favorite indoor concert venue. The layout: GA with a 21+ section with 3 bar options. The upstairs balcony has a full bar and some back wall bench seating as well as 2 rows of chairs to view the performance from the best vantage point in the building. Facility: Clean and updated. Well maintained. The security and staff: This is a crew of attentive professionals who care. Great vibes from everyone. Especially the person checking in on people to see if they needed assistance, offering snacks, bottled water and impressive compassionate kindness. The security is always friendly, never invasive. Bars: reasonably priced drinks served quickly, with a smile. Location: street parking can be tricky but nothing too difficult. Nearby killer burger is a quick and easy pre-show meal. Overall, I always enjoy the Wonder Ballroom. I highly recommend it. It's especially excellent that their lineup of shows is diverse & impressive.

Great concert venue. Staff was extraordinarily accommodating and helpful. ADA seating area and accommodations were greatly appreciated. Small elevator makes this venue very accessible. Other than the belligerent drunk woman intentionally throwing her drink on me it was a great night out. C’mon lady, you’re like 60 and this is how you choose to behave in public? Security was very responsive.
