I use to be a regular customer here but I don’t think I will be shopping here again. If I do Im only getting small items like chai but than again I can get those things from online for a cheaper price ! Im so very disappointed in the meat here. First off I bought Sujuk and guess what what do you know it is expired on the date i bought it !? This shouldn’t have been on the shelf Im a very busy person like the rest of you and don’t have time to worry about checking dates , thought I could trust them cus it’s a mostly Muslim store but no. I even bought some meat for making stew and it was expired within the next couple days so good thing I froze it before the expiration date . That’s not acceptable! It’s disgusting ! The employees should be checking all items to see if they are expired or not . Im NOT Muslim but I use to come here cus some of the employees especially the nice Arab middle age blonde /brownish hair lady are super friendly however the quality of meat as you can see thats clearly lacking. Not to mention this store is super expensive. You are better off saving money going to aldis . If you eat halal go to the Muslim stores in the north suburbs that are clean and good quality. Another thing is they hire some workers who do not know English . It’s fine to have diversity but make sure your employees know English. I’ve been there many times and sometimes the latino employees gossip about others in spanish but jokes on them because besides being a law abiding citizen I am fluent in Persian/Parsi , English and I know some Spanish. The gossip I’ve overheard between the older Latino man and younger Latino man who usually do stocking and produce is never good and not appropriate in a work environment where you are serving the community. Very disgraceful. Please do not shop here and if you do check all the dates of products before u by them because they tend to leave expired products out, not ethnical nor safe. I should have called but I’m sure someone will call the department of health, Immigration enforcement and an inspector.. this is ridiculous, highly unethical and not safe for the community.

I’m unsure if this was due to a language barrier or lack of attention, but the butcher’s response felt dismissive. I was told I should have provided all details upfront, which I believe I did clearly. This attitude made the interaction feel unprofessional and unwelcoming. I don’t usually write reviews, but this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered similar issues at this store. I’ve overlooked past experiences, but this time I feel compelled to share my feedback. I urge the management to train their butchers on proper customer service and meat preparation to better meet customer expectations.
