Everything was perfect from beginning to end at the 'Candlelight Downtown LA: Best of Joe Hisaishi' concert at Zipper Concert Hall. The stage was wonderous and was fabulous for taking photos. The musicians looked like absolute Goddesses on stage and their personalities are delightful. I was actually happy to listen to the mini-speeches/song introductions. It felt like we got to connect with the quartet more than if they'd just played continuously and only stated the name of the next song(s). They seem like a joyful group that truly enjoys playing and especially playing together so it just adds to the experience. The program was beautiful and a perfect selection of Hisaishi's works. Loved the opportunity to take video and pictures during final two songs. Makes it feel like a reward for following directions during the concert lol. And the structure of the venue itself was actually fantastic with comfortable seating and a great view of the stage. No one's head gets in the way really lol. I was also extra happy to snag a business card and a set of the candles used on-stage because I seriously wanted to take some home. Had I brought more money I'd have gone for more Orchid merch too^^;

Loved the sounds and songs, I especially loved the chemistry and joy the musicians displayed playing the assortment of sweet, ethereal and dramatic songs from fantasy favorite shows. I closed my eyes and felt like I was lighting a beacon for Gondor or sitting atop a dragon!

We had a magical and lovely time. From the moment we walked in we loved the ambience, and couldn’t wait to hear this tribute to to Cold Play who is one our favorite bands being played with a 4 string quartet. These musicians were amazing. These women played amazing and really enjoyed how they told a story about each song. My husband loved his birthday surprise and was impressed with how well organized this was. I booked another one for a tribute to Adele. We will try to see many more this summer.

Great Date Night... the venue was beautiful. Different from any concert I have been to. Went to the R&B concert and it brought back sounds that I grew up with. Highly recommend.
